York uni has colleges instead of accomodation blocks. Langwith is the best, as it is right in the centre of campus! And it has the best welfare reps in the whole uni!

My boy is off to Staffordshire Uni to do BA (Hons) Animation :j I'm so proud! And soooooooooo relieved! :D

We found out through Portsmouth Uni's website (his insurance choice) - they have a confirmation page if they made you an offer, brilliant idea, wish they all did that! Especially as the UCAS site kept crashing, and school doesn't hand out results until late morning  Saved several hours of fretting (me not him :o )

Best wishes to those still looking for a place ( sympathy: I went through clearing myself, many moons ago).

Congratulations to those who made it onto the courses they wanted!

My son is going to Swansea, he didn't quite make the grades he needed but they accepted him anyway. He's thrilled and I'm reaching for the tissues!!

One of his friends didn't get the course at the university they wanted but they have been offered a different course, it's a really stressful time and I wish you all luck. :)

    well done everybody.. :)

It was horrid waiting to find out last year.. As I knew my boyf was coming to manc (unconditional offer) so I was just waiting to see if i got the grades..

Clearing can be very good - a lot of people get better courses or unis than they originally applied to.. and it's good if you've changed your mind..

a few years ago cambridge had clearing places for maths!!
