So where are we / you / they all going?

We don't yet have my son's results, but on UCAS website he can see he's been accepted at Warwick.

So, geeky 18 yo off to Warwick to read Computing - leaving very messy bedroom behind in Bristol!

I was all sure I was going to Nottingham, but now I've had an offer from Kent so I don't know which to pick (I'm going through Clearing).

Clearing's not that bad. Try not to use the UCAS site though, as that's awfully slow. Instead, go to the uni website and see if they have places or buy the Independent. If you don't know the uni web address then try https://www.uniname.co.uk

Which uni do you want to go to? Most of them have online forms to apply there. If you haven't got your Independent then go buy one now, and look up the course you want to do.

But don't panic, as there's ages left. My sister's friend didn't know for a week last year, and I won't know til Saturday!

Well ............. my son didn't get into Sheffield as he didn't get a B in Biology but he wasn't that bothered because he'd decided he didn't want to do the course  . Anyway he's still off to Sheffield to do something else, god knows what:confused: I've kept out of it, but he seems happy enough. Husband and brothers seem to think he'll be fine. Good!:j

  • Son got BTEC National Diploma (2 x B grade A Level equivalent) and a C in his A level so it is BA (Hons) GMC at Leeds Metro for him!!

He'll be staying at home, though as the campus for his course is local for us.

Not bad for a dyslexic lad written off as "disruptive" at school, eh?

Good luck to those of you going through clearing!

    Stella xx
