Firstly is there anyone that could go with you to the job centre to explain your Asperges? It must be very difficult for you to try to tell them your symptoms yourself? because from my experience someone with Asperges doesn't recognise half of their symptoms as symptoms! You could really do with someone to support you. secondly once you are diagnosed you may be able to claim DLA or incapacity benefit?

I understand where you are coming from OP, my son also was convinced he couldn't do a job that he was offered and turned it down. I AM sympathertic, and I do understand.
But you mnight be just the type of person they need for this job!
Otherwise as I say, see the disability advisor at the Jobcentre.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
