    Hi all

Thank you very much for the hugs. I think I was maybe hoping someone works for SS that might have a suggestion, but DS may end up calling Childline or something himself.
Yes, she called about 9.30, then again about 10.00, but nothing since and I would imagine her mother will have taken her mobile from her so, if it's still on and we text to make sure she's OK it might cause more probs! When they 1st came here, Mum thought I was her best friend and wouldn't get the message I work full time, so if I was working from home she would turn up and wait for me to make coffee and sit talking. Now she wants them to move back coz she misses her friends, but they had a violent, abusive neighbour, the bullying probs and she doesn't have a clue about DD's illness, although she's been ill about 5 years. I'm the opposite. My GP has even called me in to speak to another parent on diagnosis, as she says I'm the local expert!:o DS has been ill for 7 years, so I've done a lot of research and read loads. The GP seems in agreement with me involving SS although obviously her comments are non-specific and unbiased etc.

If you don't mind me asking PinkFairy what is the illness your ds has? Please feel free to tell me to mind my own.

    Hi Chunky79

No, I don't mind you asking at all. DS became ill with a flu type virus a couple of months before his 10th birthday. DH had it at the same time and was back at work a week later. DS never recovered and was diagnosed with CFS/ME a year later. He's been registered disabled for 4 years, uses a wheelchair if he needs to walk more than 50 yards in one go. He has lots of aches and pains, really bad sleep pattern, poor memory and so on........He can only manage 1.5 hours school per day and we have an ongoing battle with the LEA to permit him to take 3 GCSEs as he officially finished school last summer. We've got our Assembly member arguing with them for us.

People don't know enough about CFS/ME although a lot of people know someone who has it (or used to etc etc) and about 1:1000 school aged children are affected by it, so an average of one per secondary school (or in our case - 3 at the nearest and 5 where we used to live because it was a cluster area!)

I see, how weird, this is what my bil is being tested for but is case is slightly complicated as he had a pituitary tumour removed 25 years ago and also is pituitary gland has the tumour had grown so large, he suffers from quite alot of the effects die to the length of time in detecting the tumour he actually diagnosed himself when he was 14 and was ignored by the doctor as being hypercondriact,

I see now why your so stressed, it must be so hard for you to have had to deal with. And well the LEA's have alot to answer for sometimes. Education is supposed to be a key part, its a shame some don't see it that way.

    evening all

pink hugs to you and all concerned. I'm sorry I have no experience of any of the things you are going through so don't feel I can offer any advise. It sounds like you have done the right thing contacting people who hopefully can help.

Off to bed in a minute.

Mystery shop tomorrow and I want to drop some stuff to oxfam
DS2 paintballing party - I am leaving hubbie there and heading off to the shops for the duration.

Pink Fairy, like the rest I have no real experience with this, apart from leaving my family home when I was 15. My parents chose not to ask for me to go back but from what I was told by law they could have. From what I can see you have done everything you can really, like pigpen basically said, look after yours first.

Well I did the Betfair thing, if it works or not is another matter, I've got money splattered over different horses everywhere :rotfl: I'd done it via Quidco earlier when I seen the £50 offer and just did £10, then seen it on here, so have had to since increase how much I have deposited in seperate amounts to make the £25. If all else fails and I don't get the £25 back I've got the £50 Quidco tracked so will get that back and it won't have cost me anything, will still make some money. I was considering getting DP to register as he's not registered on Quidco yet, will ponder over that one and see what others are doing. I had to get him to place the bets, thankfully he'd popped home for a break, because I was sat here thinking 'hmmmm ok what do I do now' :rotfl: He phoned a friend who likes gambling (too much) and asked who to bet on, so that was the bigger amounts (all of £4) went on those :rotfl: So does that mean I have officially bet for the first time ever :o ?

I probably should be in bed but can't stop feeling itchy and it's getting on my nerves, possibly psychological knowing I have a rash. I think I might have a look online and see if I can find some spots like them :o

**Edited rather than talking to myself** This Quidco blog says they're reducing the cashback to £30 due to demand, so are we going to get £50 or £30. I have £50 tracked but will they just decline the rest I wonder? http://www.quidco.com/blog/?p=157
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
  • lil-me - we need to lower the £50 cashback at 2400 tonight (April 4th) <<< from quidco.

I think as long as you took the offer before then it should be £50... typical though DH needs to go to work tomorrow so I [strike]told[/strike] suggested he register with quidco and then betfair ... although if my horse wins :rotfl: I think there is more of a chance of me completing mon-fri lists next week!!! (my lot will still be on hols)

ok well I have defrosted chest freezer and started an invetory, cleaned the hob and been very snuffly. DH went out and brought back sudafed and piriton - covering all the bases!

    Hugs to Pink Fairy,

Best try and get some sleep I suppose,

    night x

  • lil_me - have you caught chicken pox? I had it 3 times when I was little and the last time it wasn't spots it was just large rashes... would some piriton maybe settle the itching down? (hugs) hope it calms down for you.
