Soappie old guy was very briefly there. He walked up the drive towards buster went out of view and then went back down driveway. He was only there as long as it takes to post a leaflet. Does that help in any way?
It helps, thanks Dusty - particularly if he walked past Buster from Buster's right to left (i.e up the drive and continuing beyond Buster's view on the same trajectory) - there is NO door there (but there is a passageway that extends to the back). If it's only as long as it took to deliver a leaflet, it's probably not old g*t from upstairs next door. I shall make some enquiries - particularly as DiL said that chap upstairs had someone round the other night looking at the house possibly with a view to painting it (it needs it and we've talked about having it done for a while!) so maybe it was that guy coming back to estimate up. I shall make enquiries of upstairs over the weekend.
Right, a couple of G&Ts nicely under my belt  gossip good - got all the stresses of the week off my chest and nice neighbour got the stresses of her week off her chest too. I am now set up to find some dinner and chill for the majority of the weekend. I shall look at flying lists tomorrowI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

another poor flying day - i just cannot get myself motivated, and i've been sat on here most of the day while i have been at home. Will hopefully be more motivated over the weekend. DH is equally shattered so i think we need to regroup before tomorrow so we can make a bit of progress. He's got to go back out after dinner for a little bit to drop off a battery charger to my BIL. Will get him to drop a bag of things off at mums that i forgot earlier, and then that is some more carp out the house.

I'm going to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I've listed loads of carp on Freecycle to get shut of it. Some complete numpty has replied with a mobile phone number saying he will collect it tonight on his way home from the pub. No please, no thank you and as its already 8:15pm thats not likely to be anytime soon. I've very ungraciously e-mailed him to say its no longer available. What is it with these people? The woman who was due on tuesday evening turned up earlier today and was very rude when I told her I'd given it to someone else. You really have to wonder why you bother, other than its miles to a charity shop of any description.
Rant over. House is marginally tidier than normal. DH isn't here to make a mess! Slow cooked a chicken for dinner now have the carcass cooking overnight ready for for soup tomorrow. Any recommendations for things to improve chicken soup? So far its just the chicken, onion and carrots left over from dinner. DDs finally go back to school on tuesday, hoping to avoid doing any shopping until then. Still have an enormous pile of homework to persuade them to do. May resort to bribery in the end.
Off to put some fruit to soak in the dregs from the tea pot ready for tomorrow afternoons baking session.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
