G&B - have the zoo got baby polar bears? DD was talking about it. We must fit a trip in. Either that or Blair Drummond. Or maybe Chester Zoo. Oh decisions, decisions

Nope, no baby polar bears, they only have one female called Mercedes;)
If you are going to go to the zoo, wait til at least the 7th April if you can, thats when the big new chimp enclosure opens. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Morning,
Well
I'm in for this week. I've got to to be. Though we invited people back for lunch yesterday after church, so we did a mad dash then, which means it's not quite so overwelming....mind, I've got about 3 loads for the DW!
Only DS up so far so not sure how much help children will be, but we'll see...
Oh, I thought they were all going back to school on Thursday, but only the younger 2 are. The older 2 don't go back till Monday.....I'm going to have to find jobs for them...!!
Right, I'll catch up later...have a great day everyone0 -

Morning all,
Didn't get much sleep last night, it always happens the night before they go back to school. I get worried i'll sleep in or forget something and then it takes me ages to fall asleep. Plus the dog would not shut up last night right outside our window:mad:
Some poor man lost his dog yesterday because the thunder scared him and last time it happened the dog ended up 40 miles away because someone lifted him and took him home. The man who owned it put an ad in the paper and the people returned it so hopefully this time the dog will be found before someone lifts it or it returns home.
Right 2 at school, so just me and DS2 and i'm hoping to do a level 3 today, cuppa first before i start then computer off until it's done.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Morning, in but it's going to be manic today, in laws royal visit this evening, eeeeek!!! I've written a list but it's 2 A4 pages and if I type it out I'll wear my fingers out. DP said he's going to get dressed and build the wardrobe
so it'll be worth the grief just so he gets that done, then I might have a chance in sorting out my bedroom!
Whoever mentioned Chester Zoo it's FAB! We love Chester Zoo, have detoured there twice on the way home from Blackpool. We usually use Tesco days out deals for there.
Hugs for everyone xxOne day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
:hello: Mornin' all! I'm in for my 2nd week. Just caught the last 10 seconds of Martin on GMTV, think he was trying to cajole (sp?) everyone into updating finances :money: bless him!
Have to read up on the weekend from last week thread, hope you all had a goodun'. My first week of flying started off with a bang, then trailed off at the end, will try and be abit more consistent this week. Also have to learn to pop in on thread more often too, otherwise I'm spending 2 hours just catching up!!
vivw your new cooker and fridge are lovely, trying not to be too envious!
hollyh good luck at dentist! think nice peaceful thoughts....
tylersbabe good luck with GC, let us know how you get on. Its definitely more fun with the MSE community isn't it? I used to be hooked on M&S ready meals, at least twice a week, think of all that cash  .
poohbear59 if you have to sit up when sleeping for a week, maybe someone else should do the flying for you as well. DS2 could muck in after all your hard work?! Actual I should be filling in job applications too, fancy [strike]doing it for me[/strike] giving me a hand?
nicki how did you get on with davinia? did my HHE yesterday, my knees hurt!! will rest today and will try again tomorrow.
skintsscotlass I like the hat too! Never worn a hat myself, don't think I could carry one off. Hope you enjoy yourself at races (think weather supposed to hold).
MOJT almost felt sorry for you, having to catch such an early flight, but then noticed your destination! Humph! I've become the green eyed monster this morning, first cookers and fridges then holidays. Ignore me and enjoy your hol!!
Heres my list for today:
Killer Kitchen - Monday
Level One
Clear and wipe work surfaces
Clear the window sills (*rofl* not likely!!)
Level Two
Sweep and Mop the floor
Wipe the cupboards, appliances and all those manky corners!!
Take down and clean the lightshades.
Level Three
Clear and wipe the tops of the wall units
Wipe over all those small appliances.. don't forget the inside of the microwave!
Wipe out the gicky parts of the fridge and have a quick check for what needs restocking
Extras- [strike]Clean oven/hob if you must.. *rolls eyes*[/strike] did last week, get me!
- HHI ..
- Clean windows
- [strike]Childrens list.[/strike] dont have any, so will have to do myself!
- Clear and wipe the table
- [strike]Load the dishwasher (DW) if you have one [/strike] nope but could do with one.
- Can you fill the washing machine (WM) with things that are all the same colour and switch it on?? This is a very important thing to learn.. many big clever daddies struggle with this job.. even our daddy.. so if you can do this.. you are cleverer than him! a load on now
- If you are a bigger little person could you wipe over the fronts of the kitchen cupboards and fridge/freezer/washing machine.. sometimes you need to check the insides too as they get a bit sticky..
study (finish 1 of 2 packs, will do other tomorrow)
get some shopping in, had no fruit all weekend, not good.
get some sowing done. lettuce looks like they could do with a re-pot. aah, need more compost, might fit in a wilkinsons order.
Good luck all.0
