just got back from "show me the funny" being recorded in blackpool
got tickets from sro audiences
you had to get a wristband then queue up again
200 people with wristbands didnt get in we did but it was close
didnt they know how many seats there were before they gave out the wristbands??
the 5 comedians did a good job i liked the third one best, i think he was called dave
i will have to watch it on tv when ever that is"what lies behind us & what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" Ralph Waldo Emerson0 -
Were the wristbands different colours? I've been where the priority have a differrent colour and then the first say 200 another, and then numbered reserve wristbands. I guess they never know how many priority will turn up.
I too get to tv recordings well in advance unless I get priority, I've been lucky most of mine have been so far0 -

yes they had lots of different colours gold silver green pink stripes but most were orange
the orange under a certain number got in (inc us)
the orange ones over the number didnt get in"what lies behind us & what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us" Ralph Waldo Emerson0 -
The last TV audience thing I did was Parkinson, when Paul McCartney was on (2005). Ended up queueing in the cold and rain for about 6 hours, but I ended up in the 2nd row and had a great view. I absolutely loved it and it was worth every painful minute waiting outside for.0

Does anyone know how Lost in TV fare for overbooking? They have the disclaimer of "Not all of our allocated tickets are used and for this reason we overbook to ensure a full studio. We therefore recommend arriving early to the recordings to avoid disappointment."0

I know it doesn't seem very MSE but I'm a member of Applause and it really is value for money. I live outside London and need to travel at least 1-2hrs to get to the recording venues. As a member I always get priority tickets which guarantees entry before a set time (usually 1/2hr before doors open). I've always got in and never had to queue for hours and hours. My family went to about 20 shows last year and that's great value. We'll do as many, if not more this year as my DD turns 18 and can go to the older shows.
Never been lucky enough for Top Gear yet though..4 years and waiting...0 -
I just received an e-mail from TVRecordings about a filming at BBC TV Centre which saysOn arrival please make sure you come and find a member of the TVRecordings team to validate your ticket.
Does that mean you have to do that before you join the queue?0 -
I went to Nevermind the Buzzcocks, it was good but we queued for ages and only just made it in, we got there at about 5, and it didn't start until 7, I thought that would mean we were very safe, but we were given the seats that were for the producers so we only got in because they weren't used! It was brilliant though, but no one checked our tickets! Definitely worth applying for0

Hello all.
Just wondering if anyone has been to see "Would I Lie to You?" filmed at pinewood? If so, how early did you get there - I know you're not guaranteed entry and I've been to filming of QI and Million Pound Drop before and I know they can get very busy early on.
Thanks xx0 -
