I did this before: you have to queue up for quite a while and then sit thru quite a lot of stuff in Saudi. About 3 hours I think. They did have a warm up man (in English), and a few very small snacks. It's quite interesting seeing how they make a program.
They only offered me £15 this time, which doesn't quite cover my travel expenses, and as it won't be as interesting a second time I'm not going.0 -
You're assuming either that they give you £20 even if you haven't incurred any travel expenses, or that they won't ask for any evidence of travel expenses and you're going to lie to them about them. Doesn't feel very promising either way to me.
When I did it, they simply asked for a signature on the way out and handed you an envelope with cash in it. hth0 -
We booked up for this a while ago as it looks quite fun to see how a programme is made, the £20 each is a rather nice little bit of petrol money to top off an afternoon with!0

If you haven't got a priority ticket (and you'll know if you have one), you will need to get there very early and, even then, may not get in - so no £20 contribution to your petrol money to get to Wembley to not see something.0 -
I've returned my priority tickets today as I can't go so if anyone got told it was full, try again!0

Just got back from this. Studio doors opened just before 6pm, ushered in fairly rapidly. Bottle of water/soft drink and small packet of sweets on each seat. Relatively relaxed atmosphere, some audience members obvious multiple atendees and known to the warm up man. Thankfully tonights filming was relatively straightforward and finished by about 9.40, unlike tuesdays where a succesion of technical hitches combined with not understanding the game format made the evening drag somewhat. After seeing this twice I still have no idea about what the contestants are playing for or what the rules of disqualification are, but it has been an opportunity to bung a few quid on my oyster card for a relatively minimal effort.
The BBC recordings that I have been to seem to be a lot slicker and to an extent better organised, however they never pay.0 -

Most of the events run by LostInTV don't pay the audience. Perhaps they are better organised.0 -
Went on Wednesday. Didn't have priority tickets but got in fine. By 9pm most people were getting bored. Got out about 10pm.
Was an experience but wouldn't do it again.
What got me was the contestants spoke English and were from England anyway0 -
I suppose the entire thing depends on if you like the games in The Cube. If you are a big fan of the show, you could enjoy it, even without understanding what they are saying.
I wonder how long it takes to reset the game each time. You're assuming either that they give you £20 even if you haven't incurred any travel expenses, or that they won't ask for any evidence of travel expenses and you're going to lie to them about them. Doesn't feel very promising either way to me.
I've already got a travelcard to get to and from work. For anyone else in London who commutes to and from work, this could be something they do on the way home.
The main problem is that it is in Wembley and the kick off time is 5.30. I work on the other side of London Bridge and am not sure I could make it across London in less than 30 minutes. That is going to stop a lot of other workers from getting there before it starts.
I guess this is one for the people on the railway lines that go near to Wembley. They might be able to get in on time. This could also be useful for part-time workers who do an early shift.its not a cube!
No it's a rectangular cuboid! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::T:T:T:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Longtime fan of MSE and the good advice given out here. :hello:
