If I remember correctly (not sure though) but OneTel put a stop free DQ services unless you used them as your CPS provider. When OneTel started their free DQ service I'm sure MSE Martin published details of this loophole (by dialling their Indirect Access Number) but since OneTel had closed this loophole so now you have to use them as a CPS provider.

Unless you call a lot of people on TalkTalk during the daytime then Tele2 are doing free evening & weekend calls with no monthly fee until the end of this year, you then just switch over. Tele2 also don't have any call limitations like 70mins that TalkTalk have.

Or use justdial saver lite which does evening & weekend calls with no monthly fee(not just till the end of the year) for calls up to 2hrs. They're part of One Tel so may do the free DQ services but I don't know.

Thanks for the info ,I didnt know One Tel had closed the loophole for free DQ .As I live in Northern Ireland moving from Talk Talk to One Tel ,tele2 or justdial saver is not a great option as they charge International rate to Southern Ireland (30 miles away ) Talk Talk ,UTV & BT charge local rate for these calls . As I am in my second year off FREE evening and weekend calls with Talk Talk I can call UK and Southern Ireland for FREE ,a 70 minute limit is a small price to pay compared to international rate .

If 0800 numbers are free over there (i'm not sure) then I recommend visiting this thread on how to get free DQ via a 0800 number.

I have had problems downloading the routing table discussed on another thread. But, wouldn't unplugging the Orchid dialler and then plugging it back in reset it (only powered off the phone line rather than power supply), or do you have to go through all the stages identified in:

    Many thanks

I unplugged mine to move its position and it didn't reset it. I would definitely have a go at resetting it following the instructions you've already picked out.

Anon - I too had some problems downloading an updated routing table into the dialler by way of the "force dialling" method, for some friends of mine who were on cable and I was installing their dialler and configering their Cwclient. The LED would blink for about 20 secs and then go off....

I found that by undertaking the the steps shown in the link in your post did the job and their hasn't been a problem since (now only have to dial ***12#4567890*3).

    Well worth a try......:)

Tried ... but failed. On the first line of code, get about half-way and get the "number not recognised, please try again" message.

Will keep trying - a bit frustrating...

Try dialling faster....then hang up. Repeat for each line...:)

Hi Jem, assuming your routing table is set up properly ect.. try this, it resets the dialler and calls home:

lift handset and dial **#0000*01536272200*1 then replace handset

lift handset and dial **#0000*1*8 then replace handset

lift handset and dial **#0000*0** then replace heandset

lift hand set and dial **#0000*0*7 then replace handset

lift hand set and dial ***12#4567890*3 then replace handset
I did all this to get my dialler going ,but it didnt work on my parents dialler (BT line ) now waiting for a new dialler with a powerpack .
