Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Now you're making me wish that I hadn't paid a total of £209 for a eurotunnel crossing and 2 nights in a hotel in Lille for my wife and myself, departing Friday morning, which I booked up this morning :p
Thanks to all who post constructively.

Never mind about the cost. You'll have a great time in Lille.

We went in May and loved it.

Great places to eat, wonderful buildings and entertainment in square.

Make sure you have some mussels while there..... delicious.

Take some comfortable shoes as there's a lot of walking.

    Have fun.

So many bargains to Europe...when is someone going to bring down the price of long-haul!

Looking to take my family back to the in-laws in Texas at Christmas and the prices are through the roof :-(

If anyone can get 2 adults and 3 children with BA for less than £1,800 there's a beer in it for you (or bottle of wine!).

I would sooner fly BA as I have enjoyed flying with them before - I did check out AA and they seem to be a little cheaper but not enough to make me switch :-)

Yes you get to choose the beer, so long as it's not going to cost me more than the flight :-P

    Hurray

Murphy wins some beer (mabye !). On your flight days Expedia will get you from Gatwick to Fort Worth to Dallas via United for £1772. I know its only £28.00 but it would be enough to buy a case of Old Peculier for Good Ole Murpf!!

    MTC

p.s. but nearly all the fares i was finding were the wrong side of £2000.00 so £1800 for a BA flight doesn't look to bad.
