No problem, when I get home this evening I'll dig the invoice out and let you have the details. OK to PM you? Or is it ok to post such details on here?People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Today I have been looking for recipies to cook with ham pieces as I sometimes buy a bag from the supermarket. I often cook with it a large egg and bacon flan or bacon and apple pudding in the SC. I was looking to see what else I could cook for the family. The bacon pieces cost app. £1 20. so cheap.
I found lots of new recipies and have decided to try ham and sw.corn quiche. Chicken and ham pie. Cheese and ham risotto and ham and pinapple pizza.
I often get in the house..MUM, WHAT ARE YOU COOKING NOW?
Well today it is home made vegi soup for lunch and cottage pie and steamed veg for dinner.
Saving the pennies so far today - I put the washing on the line again. Washed hair and let it dry so not using the electric to plug in hairdryer. Used free starting wood on the coal fire (when oh walked the dog last week he saw a guy throwing out some wood from a DIY job and asked if he could have it. He brought the dog home and went back with bags to collect the wood.):) Checking freebie sites next incase any one would like to give me free samples to try?If winter comes, can spring be far behind?

I don't know if anyone else has posted this suggestion but I find the 'heavy duty' tubes of conditioner given with permanent hair colourants last me ages. One little dab after shampooing then rinsed off as my hair is quite short. I never buy any other conditioner as it lasts until I need another re-do. (grey appearing sadly:() It actually mounts up and I pass the extras on to my nieces who report that it's great on their toddlers fine, "tangley" hair.:)The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Re Fleece by the metre.
Sorry for the delay, here are the details http://www.hillsidetextiles.co.uk/ I realised that I didn't buy it on line but on the phone to their sales office. I hope I haven't misled anyone:o0 -
Squeeze a loo roll into an oval shape. It doesn't rollout so easily - and kids tend not to use yards at a time!
Thougth this was a great idea to stop OH going through half a roll a day so tried it... went into the bathroom after him the following morning to find that he'd carefully squeezed the roll back out into a circle and used almost a whole roll as a kind of 'two finger salute' :rotfl:[STRIKE]Saving for a deposit on a flat[/STRIKE]

emilyka - you'll have to scrounge a blank cash till roll from somewhere and fix it into your loo roll holder - you know, one of those paper rolls which is only about two inches wide, which prints out your till receipts. That will respond with a three finger salute. Be sure to supply prunes for breakfast and a nice hot curry for supper first. :rotfl: April 1st (April Fools Day) would be a good time to institute your new regime, I think !0

Today I washed bedding and line dried, just damp now so on the airer overnight.
Went shopping in Asda for the usual milk and bread.... bought some meat and fish with yellow stickers on
We also bought Easter eggs as last year it was left to the last minute and only £5 ones left.
Asked if I could have a free pen from the no smoking stall outside Asda.
Picked up the free Asda mag.

Instead of using a pump dispenser for hand wash I use old Kandoo foaming hand wash dispensers (any foaming product ones will do though)!
As well as decanting cheap shower gel (1) for hand wash, with a foaming dispenser the liquid you put in it needs to be thinner so I actually mix it 50/50 water and shower gel(2) and as it's already foamed up you use even less!(3)
3 times the super duper money savings!(4 if you add in the fact my mum gets a boots discount and often even gives me freebies)!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
