From Tesco's I have bought a box of value tissues for 39p to wipe my nose on as I think a single tissue may be better value than realing off the toilet/kitchen roll. What does everyone else use? Do not say washabe hankies as I do not think they are nice.

I agree cheap tissues are more economical as I buy expensive loo roll (though for the kids I cut up rags like my mum used to do for me!)

Co-Op value tissues are only 29p

I've just started soaking my dogs dried food in a bit of water, as advised by the vet, cos girly dog was having probs eating, and hates tins:rolleyes:I've found it goes twice as far, and I also mix left overs in so both the doglets are happy:D:D
I'm also trying to use the car less, ie not every day, so do most of my trips in one day for shopping etc.I know it seems obvious but:rotfl::rotfl:

personally i don't like cheap tissues so i tend to use kleenex and the loo rolls are the best on offer at the time-either stores own, andrex, charmin or similar
I always use the 'Plenty' brand of kitchen towel as they are brilliant and i found the cheap ones were a false economy.

When I buy a cardigan or similar clothing with buttons on I always sew the buttons on the inside of the clothing with a bit more sewing thread to stop them falling off. I often find that buttons are so poorly attached to clothing and buying new buttons aren't particularly cheap. Sewing is one of the most boring tasks that I can think off and to force me to the this I keep the price label on the top so I cannot wear the item until the above task has been done.

I have to agree with you. I always stock up on kleenex when it is on offer (in Sainsburys at the mo). Also use 'Plenty' kitchen towel as its 10 times better than anything else (cheapest in Savers) ;)

I sew the spare button onto the washing label on new clothes, so much easier than having a box full of buttons that you can't match up.

    Hi

I only use one multi purpose cleaner for everything in my cleaning cupboard there is only Flash multi, bold gel for laundry and a microfibre polish cloth - I don't use polish

I only ever use half the amount of laundry detergent - never had any probs, never seen the point of fabric conditioner so don't use it

I invested in an eco-kettle noisy but brilliant

OH buys bottled water - argh!!!!!!!!!! so I fill empty bottle I find around the house with tap water - he hasn't complained yet

I buy value beans 19p a can - also no complaints

I don't buy make-up/smellies these are always top of my birthday/xmas list and I get enough to last the year

I never carry cash on me- this is probably the best money saver ever

I only grocery shop online when possible - I can check the house to make sure what I need plus I don't get tempted by offers and cake

If I do shop instore I only buy things that are reduced

Please don't use a human stock cube - way too much salt in that for a dogs kidneys :( Just warm water should be fine.
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
