Sneaky ways to save the pennies

the little empty plastic Benecol containers with their secure snap-on lids are also useful for travelling shampoos, as well as containing dried garden herbs, odd buttons, paperclips, screws, small amounts of surplus lemon juice. covering garden canes so they don't poke your eyes out when bending, etc. etc. I normally keep a container of cleaned empty ones as they always come in handy for something.0

I've tried the watering down the milk thing, and am pleased to report that the 6 pints lasted 2 more days than normal. So I'm definitely going to keep on going with it! I did wonder tho - I got full-fat milk as we normally have semi-skimmed so I thought watering it down would make it like semi, but is it still as fattening as full fat milk?"Snowflakes are one of nature's most fragile things, but just look what they can do when they stick together."

Beware of the metal hand pumps.... they rust
We've thrown two away, both rusted at the spout and the base where it sat on the sink (can't keep telling boys not to splash water - would rather encourage them to wash!!!)
One of them cost £7 and ended up in the bin!! Now I just use the cheap plastic pump handwashes.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
