I was hoping to buy a fancy one to look nice in my bathroom. Just picked up "method" foaming hand wash which has a nice bottle i can refill but its got writing on the bottle and me being fussy will still be looking for a nicer 1!

:D I know what you mean. I have the Method one too, and the word 'Method' on it does bother me a bit sometimes. the facial wash I have from Aldi/Lidl is a nice creamy/off white plain bottle once the label was peeled off (quite easily too) I did have grand plans of decorating it like glueing on tiny pebbles/seashells/buttons/cheapie plastic pearls/glassbeads sort of thing... but you know what its like with everything else shouting out to be done first :o

failing that, I'm sure I've seen some nice bottles of foaming handwash in the supermarkets.. but more in the regent of 4+ quid a bottle, not in my budget I'm afraid :o

I had the Method one from Lakeland when it was on the bargain floor :D £1.99 I think :j its a very pretty bottle but the base is too big for my bathroom sink! :o

as for the facial wash.. sorry I can't tell you the brand as the label has been off for a few months :p I think it should be from Aldi as I don't go to Lidl that often... but to be sure, I'll check when I pop into Aldi over the weekend okay? don't want you running there for nothing :o

Also, I was reading on about page 75 about people picking money off of the floor. I do that and made about 50p on a night out! My flatmate (not the one who spends F loads on clothes, another one) thinks I'm rather sad, lol. BUT, I find a lot of money. I was walking through the park and found a fiver - split it with my mate. Found £1 and 50p on seperate occassions by my halls and when I'm at work, any money I find on the floor goes in the tips jar - none of it ever goes to us but it helps the bar out if the till's short!
Best one I recall is my son at uni a couple of years ago - one of his mate's girlfriends came for the end of year bash. When they were walking back to their digs early hours - she found a £50 note laying under some shrubs! Paid for the rest of her stay!

All I can say is WOW you lot are sneaky. I have a feeling my OH has been using a lot of these tips without me even noticing! Am reading from the start so pages and pages to go yet but some of this stuff is really really clever. (though if she ever waters down my milk I may have to leave her!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

not sneaky but Woman and home june issue has a coupon for a free bottle of wine at Cafe Rouge when you spend £20,not bad as wine costs £14.75 :)
Also in todays Guardian there is an offer for free herbs and seeds for £3.99 postage :)
so after a hard day in the garden I can go and enjoy a free drink :)

My kids (mainly my daughter) has a terrible habit of washing her hands (i suspect its more that she plays with the water) and she was constantly leaving the tap dripping giving the waterboard a fabulous reason to love us.

So we bought 2 of the dispensers that have the hand gel in so no need for water and 1 bottle lasts ages :T
