    Hello,

Someone suggested I come over to look at this thread but its taken me awhile to find it.

Ive suffered previously with depression and its all started again ... I have been dismissed from work recently because of my absence etc. I feel its all endless and this is going to be my life forever as I cant seem to kick it.

I should be getting on with a seen essay for an exam I have on Friday but I cant seem to find anything to say ... ive been working on it for days and it doesnt seem to have improved. I havent even started looking at the stuff for the unseen question, i dont know whether to defer this one again which means I have even more left still to do ...

I have tried to talk to friends about how I feel but they just cant seem to understand - I dont have any friends I see, one works away and in her texts she says I need to "live in the real world" and to "pull myself together" and other unhelpful stuff. Another hasnt texted me for awhile and I have no idea why-i always seem to be asking after her but when i got dismissed earlier this week none of them contacted me or anything. I've also met this girl online and she seems to be turning out to be an attention seeker and general nutter. I just want to be able to make some normal friends who at least try to understand about how I feel.

    Jen

You're welcome hunnie. They're streamlining (yeah right!) the benefits, so that they can pay all in ne go where possible. If you're on long term DLA, you get it separate from your IS and it is paid to you every 28 days exactly.

I think we're all struggling with eating in this heat sweetie. Try salad or fruit at least. if you ca, get some soup inside you. Little and often is the trick, hun.wink.gifsLo_hug2.gif

I've just had my DLA reawarded, and increased, and my next review is due in 2010. Is that considered long term? Also, I'm on IS for being ill but I have to have medical reviews every year (I didn't this year though as my doctor wrote to the DWP explaining that they either see me at home or grant me my IS basically.lol.). I read somewhere that if a claimant is on high rate care that they are exempt from the IS/IB medical. Is this true? I was on middle rate care before but have just been awarded higher. My mobility is still at low rate.

Sorry for the questions. I'm not any good when it comes to benefits.

I'm sorry to hear that. Do you know why you feel sick?
Hope the revision picks up. :)

    Of course you may. I'm 21. :)

I have my eye on a lawnmower.lol. It's not electrical or petrol powered. It's a manual one. I try to be as environmentally friendly as possible so a manual powered one would be perfect for me. Good price on Amazon too.

I do have a electrical powered grass trimmer that Blade bought when he was here (watching him "try" to trim the grass was actually hysterical and he didn't do a good job but at least he tried. I realize I can be quite hard to please because of my OCD.lol.). It's one of those trimmers that takes this plastic tube stuff that has to be bought separately. So I've decided to invest in a manual lawnmower because they are better for the environment, and they also get the arms working. It's like a chore and an exercise all in one. As my friend would say "Oooh la la".lol.

I've never mowed the lawn before. This should be fun.....
