Hiya Tig, How are things and how is Baby G? I hope he/she is ok. Anyway here is the reply I got from SKY to my original request:

Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband.

After investigating this issue, I must advise that we are unable to consider a refund for the changes paid to date.

Our records show that at the point of sale, you agreed to the Sky Connect package. In doing so, the full details and mandatory statements will have been read, at the completion of this sale. This would out line the major terms and conditions, including the package pricing and the package speeds.

I must further advise that the correspondence issued, does state the package speeds, pricing and all advertising materials states that Sky broadband is sold as subject to availability and line speeds as subject to location and line quality.

Furthermore, Sky provided a service, in good faith, and provided the relevant documentation and terms and conditions, which outlines the particulars of this package.

As such, no refund will be considered on this occasion.

If you need further help or information, please reply to this email or contact us on 08442 41 05 15.

    So I replied with this:

Thank you David for your reply. I will now take my custom elsewhere both for the viewing and BB side of things. I have to say I feel complete dismay that the fact that I was never able to receive BB and in fact I was only ever informed about this jucnture. I shall mention this correspondence with your disconnection department and contact Watchdog and various other . authorities on this matter.

And they have replied with this:
Thank you for contacting Sky Broadband regarding your package.

I am sorry that we are loosing a valued customer such as yourself.

Unfortunatley, our records indicate that you were given the correct information when you subscribed to Sky broadband and this is why n o refund of the subscriptions is due. As you have decided to cancel your viewing and broadband I have applied 1 months notice of cancellation to your account from the date of your email.

I also note that you were issued with a MAC code but this has remained unused. As this is no longer valid can you let me know if you require a new MAC code to move to another broadband provider so that this can be arranged.

If you need further help or information, please reply to this email or contact us on 08442 41 05 15.

    LOL :rotfl:

Is that do you think? What should I do next? Start my own thread :rotfl:

I'm very tempted to agree with jacs.

It looks like they are gonna let you go.

Just to clarify, when you first took out the package was it BB or dial up?

I was sure it was BB defo not dial up, wireless BB it was. What i cant get my head around is why i am being charged more for dial up when up to 2MB is free and think that is really my point which ive lost sight of in my correspondence with them,
