Work Mobile - It maybe you are not allowed to use it for personal use. Therefore there is good need for PAYG allowance. Same with internet I would have thought - I have home office kit set up with work - but not allowable for pers use - so would think OR won`t find it unusual0

Dave do you have to pay for personal use of the car? when i had my company car we had to pay for personal use by the mile but i think that was so we didnt get hit by the taxman for beneficial use of the car.Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. I had it all and now its gone
Well my 6 years are now up, now to start to rebuild my life again

Its a case of trying to claim in area's that you may not really use so that it offsets anything the OR does not allow or reduces so you still have enough to comfortably live on.
In the deductions it states - Mileage £*** and Mobile phone £ ***
Not sure if i'll get away with that or is it technically fraud if i try and claim for phone i dont have?
Hmmmm....but i want to be able to be more comfortable living though

What do they say, if you dont ask you dont get. If you feel guilty send me a pm with your address and i will send you a pay as you go simcard orange or O2? then you've got a pay as you go phone, as you put the simcard in your work phone at weekends;)
So how does your deductions for mileage work on a monthly basis then as i guess this can change from month to month depending on how much you use it?Life is like a game of Snakes & Ladders, i almost made it to the top but now i'm at the bottom again and its a very long ladder to the top. Hi EW, thanks for that. My mileage for personel use has usually been a similar amount per month, i have left a little bit spare in my monthly salary to take this into account - i have worked out my average salary over the past 6 months.
I will send you a PM..the free sim would come in handy for this, Thanks EW.

Morning EW,
I think you should put something down for petrol for personal use. The tax man would have a field day if he thought the company were paying for your personal petrol too and would bump up your benefits in kind accordingly. I'm sure you use the car evenings and weekends for your own personal pursuits

Good morning Peachy.
I already have a deduction taken off the pay packet for my personel mileage before i get my take home pay, so this is taken care of.
Thanks for posting though.
Dave.
