Wow, how hard is it to make sure you do something positive EVERY day:o

OK, not much to report today.

Got up checked the CRB in the slimmest hope that they read my diary on here and wanted to give me a break by fast tracking me:rotfl: :rotfl:
    Still at application received stage:(

Spent ages getting all my old weights/bars out of a rammed garage to put on Ebay. Laid it out nicely on the grass, took the pictures, then realised my grass could do with cutting.

Put the weights on ebay, then got on with attacking the [STRIKE]jungle[/STRIKE] grass. NEVER NEVER NEVER cut grass if its been raining night before:doh: just means you keep stopping the lawnmower every 2 farts to remove the jammed grass.

Other than that just caught up with friends/family while I have time on my hands.

    So....

    Positive things done today

    1) Put weights for sale on ebay (should get at least £200)
    2) Cut grass

    I DONT BELIEVE IT:eek:

Thought I would ring LLoydsTSb again today (collections department) re the ongoing saga of my loan to see if they would actually speak to me about it, and more importantly come to an arrangement for a reduced amount for the next 6 months.

They spoke to me!!!!!!!!!!!:j Confirmed they had my new address:j AND, drumroll please..................

Agreed to let me pay off at my rate of £150 per month, they did ask for £200 but told them in no uncertain terms this was all I could afford, if I would have knew they would try"negotiating" I would have came in with a stupidly low first offer and worked up, but as I am trying to do the right thing this is ALL I CAN AFFORD.

She backed down, thanked me for the offer and set up a new DD for 1st May.

Asked whether I would like to make a payment to clear the 1 months overdue before I start the arrangement :rotfl: :rotfl: told her not possible, thats why Im ringing to make an arrangement:confused:

This was one of the big worries I had re this loan, so Im chuffed I've got it sorted, Taking DD to museum today (she loves dinosaurs since seeing them on Diego) free entrance so very DFW:T going to do some discount shopping and then come on here later to let you all know how my ebay stuff went.

    Have a good day/weekend everyone

    Ok,

Had a really good day today spending time with my OH and my DD.

Went to the museum to see the dinosaurs (sure the MIL was there:rotfl: )

Done some bargain shopping at the local cash and carry place too. Been chomping on a bag of misshape chocaltes for a quid all day, bit like playin russian roulette really, some are lovely, some are turkish delights_pale_ you never know till its half chewed, good fun though!!!

Got home and 2 auctions finshed on Ebay, one sjy plus box (£60)and one mobile phone (£72) I have another 3 mobiles exactly the same to sell and got an email for a buy it now, so i done a deal for £65, saves messing round and i can post with the other stuff im sending on Monday anyway. so made nearly £200 off ebay today:beer:

Other than that not much else to report, have a great weekend everyone.

    Positive things done today:

    1) Put a smile on DDs face
    2) Got LloydsTSB to halve loan payments for next 6 months
    3) Made serious money on ebay

    Busy day today!!!!!!!!!!

Up early to empty all the stuff I emptied from the office which has been in storage in my van. Took me ages, then washed it so it looked all nice for the auction and hopefully get a little bet more money for my effort:rolleyes:

As a final parting gift from the van to me "she" refused to start. No problem, Ill use jump leads, she still refused to start. went to pick the mechanic up who was taking the van to the auctions with me ( I have canceled insurance but he has a traders policy;) ). Lets just tow it he says, then bump start it when we pick speed up. Eventually this worked.(3 miles and umpteen attempts later)

OMG I am soooooooo glad to get this [strike]piece of junk[/strike] big white van off my drive.

Took it to the auctions who told me as long as I bring it on Monday, it will go in Tuesdays auction. Guess what........auction full, next week now:mad: Anyway, better off in their carpark than on my drive, feel sorry for them when they try to start it:rotfl: :rotfl: can see them now with the booster pack and quick start spray....

In true [strike]tight ar se[/strike] dfw fashion even removed the tax disc to claim a refund:D
Put a reserve on it of £3 grand, hoping it does better than this but regardless just happy to get rid and this will be my mortgage money for next month.

Got an online number to check the progress of the CRB check. There are 5 stages from them receiving the application to them sending out the findings/certificate. Stage 1,2 and 3 completed already:beer: 4 is in progress, then just left for them to send out findings.

Reading on the forums here I've seen freecycle come up again and again so joined that today too, just waiting for my membership to be approved.

    So....

    Positive things done today
    1) Took van to auctions
    2) Checked CRB status
    3) Joined freecycle

    Yes Taxi, not long now......

Looked on CRB webpage today , still at stage 4 (god I'm impatient).

I know this will take a few weeks now probably so I have booked a medical (£58!! ) for the first week in May. (OH has the date written down as I'm useless:rolleyes: )

This is only valid for a month from issue otherwise I would have it now but at least it is one less hurdle to overcome. And can't have it next week as I'm on holiday:j :j Was going to cancel it but as it's all paid for and full board figured I/we could do with a break after all thats happened lately. Paid for it when i was minted anyway so only need spends now, just a week I'm going for. OH booked it, Costa Almera, spain????? (thought that was a car:confused: )

Anyone been there, heard of it???

Also the people who have read from the start or seen my other posts will know I USED to have a gambling problem. Logged on to all my old accounts today to self exclude myself. Done this for 5 years on most, so even if i am tempted 2 years down the line they won't let me bet:j

Even better still I thought I had wiped all accounts clean. There was over £100 sat between my Sky bet, Betfair and Vic chandler bookie accounts:D
(Think I will write a book...how to make money appear from nowhere:rotfl: )

This will be in my account by the end of the week hopefully, so good new there. Looked on ebay and my latest auctions are doing great. Have put all my weights on, a weights bench and a phone and the bidding is over £200 with a few days left:eek:

Will join the gym again when I'm on the road otherwise I will never train, starting back Thai boxing too as my "treat".

Posted tax disc from the van I took to the auctions off today so again more money due to be coming to me (4-6 weeks).

Other than that not much else to say.

    So....

    Positive things done today

    1) Closed Bookie accounts/excluded myself from them/withdrew over £100:D
    2) Booked medical appointment for private hire driver
    3) Sent tax disc off for refund.

    Catch up again tomorrow
  • Hi I'm still enjoying reading your diary and liking the positive inserts too!! Your OH must be very proud of you the way you are handling all this.
I just reading about your gambling and wondered if you have ever had any help with getting over it or just managed it yourself?

    Hi KM,

Spoke to gamcare about the gambling but just to get it off my chest initially. Fully managed it myself, and opened up to OH too, warts and all and she sat with me while I cancelled all accounts/excluded myself from sites.

This way I/we know its final. I never went into bookies it was only ever online and honestly can say will never gamble again. THERE IS ONLY ONE WINNER.

Onwards and upwards now:D Thanks for the support
