I don't realy wear make up either, only when i am going out and then it's not much.
i want to look radiant/glowing for my wedding day though but not too made up, i looked in to having it done professionally but the prices are ridiculous (£60 for trial then £80 for actual day)
my friend is really good at her make up so we will be having some practice sessions (for hair also) i want to get natural colours, does anyone have any suggestions of any brands that are good quality and will last the day as i get married at 12.30

I had a make up trial yesterday. I don't wear make up for work, and i only wear mascara and a lip gloss when i go out!
Well the trial went quite well, she kept me looking quite natural, i felt that i looked quite pale by the end of the day and the stuff around the eyes looked quite cracked by 5pm, so not sure about it all! The lippy did stay on all day!
I only have three weeks to sort it out, had my hair trial yesterday as well and i loved it:)Leopardlady

I had got a free sample of the max factor stuff and it is great but it's nearly £12 in Tesco. Saying that I have got some clubcard vouchers so in theory could get it for nothing hmmmmmmOfficially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Have a look at the wedding makeup video below

Also if you sign up for the Bodyshop "Love you body" card, it costs £5 for a year. They offer you a free makeup session and you then get 10% off all your purchases of makeup if you decide to buy it and you get a free gift on your 4th and 8th purchase of anything instore. You also get a birthday present if you go and purchase something during the month of your birthday. You could always book a makeup session with them on the morning of your wedding!
GOOD LUCK!0 -
I'm going to contact the Boots Maxfactor desk and see if they can dome a trial thing... I have switched to buying nearly only Maxfactor stuff now (I'll cough up the Boots vouchers from Pigsback lol) because it's just such good quality. What I AM having done is I am having my eyelashes dyed before the wedding and by eyebrows plucked the day before. Eyelashes because I don't want mascara running and ending up with the classic "panda" look :S
I'm pretty sure I can hack the rest of the make up without too many hitches

thanks, i will make a trip to my local market for a nose around and if nothing there will head to Boots, my friend told me that if you have a make over in Boots then you buy the products after, you get a discount so may try that

Having slept on the trial i am seriously considering cancelling the make up lady. I think i will have a make over in boots and then try out any ideas myself. I have booked a couple of treatments at the same place the make up lady comes from so should be able to swap the payment over?
I really didn't like how i looked and by 4pm i looked even worse!Leopardlady

I've recently had a quote from a company called Pinkgloss. It's £247 for 3 of us for wedding day make up and trials. I never wear make up and like many of you I want a natural look-but I also want to look special for my big day. Does anyone have any experience of this company at all?0
