All that said, the OP is right to highlight ebuyers failure. I'm not sure why others on this thread are criticising the OP, when it is ebuyer who are completely at fault and should have their failings made public.
This is the consumer vent board after all.
Nothing against a vent, but the OP seems to have an issue accepting that mistakes do happen and does not want to believe that there was a system error. Not saying ebuyer were wrong, they were-but the response seems overly aggresive in comparison to the scale of the error.Out of my mind. Back in 5 minutes.0 -

Overly aggressive? He bought something, they took his money, and then they didn't supply it. Why shouldn't he get annoyed about that?
Some of the other posters here are well out of order. The OP has done absolutely nothing wrong, other than draw attention to a clear and outright breach of contract by a trader. None of you know anything about what impact this might have.
What if the item was a present? What if it was needed to a timescale? What about any interest charges that might accrue while ebuyer have this guys money?
Even if none of those things apply, this is still outrageous. Would anyone here be happy to accept this sort of service? It is unbelievable that a retailer of the size of ebuyer can be so incompetent, and then have people mock the victim of that incompetence.0 -

Such is life.
And when they do, the incompetent retailers should be named & shamed.
No reason for the victim to be mocked when they have done nothing wrong.0 -
