NSD for me. 15 days until payday. Hmm. Had the big shepherds pie for tea tonight with peas. Should have done more veg as I only ended up with a childs portion and was still hungry. Therefore I went and demolished the rest of the cake left in the tin (with help) and had to get the rest of the brownies out of the freezer. Hopefully they'll last until Wednesday/Thursday.
I'm tired so off to bed. Night night everyone.Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.MFiT T2: Debt [STRIKE]£52856.59[/STRIKE] £6316.14 £46540.45 repaid 101.17% of £46000 target.2013 Target: completely clear my [STRIKE]£6316.14[/STRIKE] £0 mortgage debt. £6316.14 100% repaid.0 -

Do any of you have any ideas for flavouring homemade yoghurts?
I've just bought a Lakeland Bulk Yoghurt Maker (naughty I know- but I'm looking longer term here).
I've made my first litre of homemade yoghurt from UHT Milk at 44p and it is really scrumptious. I'm happy to have it with a little honey, but it's my little monkeys that I want to encourage.

When I used to make yoghourt I found it a bit sharp, so instead of adding sugar I used to add sweeteners to the mix, usually Hermetsetas.0 -
Hi funkyfunkymonkey,
I use one of these and make the yoghurt using greek instead of natural as I`v e found the greek to be more creamier and less sour than natural. My boys love honey, but also blend fruits to a mush and mix with the yoghurt as I found the jam wasn`t stong enough.
Hope this helps.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

Funkyfunkymonkey,
I found apple, pear and grape hasn`t a strong flavour unless it is stewed really well, to a pulp, but most other fruits seem to have a strong enough flavour.
I brought mangoes(reduced) yesterday and these were lovely blended into the yog.Grocery Challenge 2013: July week 1 £90/£87.41

Bought some grapes and mushrooms on the way home from work - needed the grapes to stop myself eating chocolate after a gym session (!) and the mushrooms for a dish I cooked last night. Total spend: £3.50. Wish my Ocado order would hurry up and arrive (due tonight) so that I can eat the food I've already paid for!!!0

Morning,
Hoping for a nsd for me. Although I have to pay £36 for ds swimming lessons but that's through to the Summer.
Brekkie is cereal and a banana. Lunch is a pitta bread and soup and dinner is a herbed lentil casserole - all courtesty of tesco diets. Trying to follow the GI diet and have managed to lose 9.5lbs - it was 13 but fell off the wagon last week - hey ho ! DH and kids are having tagliatelle sauce from the freezer.
Hope everyone has a nice daySo little money - so much time :mad:0 -
Still just a passive observer of this thread I am
last month I couldn't even keep my receipts together - gave up as there were so many! will watch and learn... good luck everyone.

You're right it is a bit sharp :rotfl: Not keen on going the artificial sweetner route, but many thanks for the idea as I may end up doing that if all else fails.

I accidentally used toffee yoghurt- I hadn't spotted the very subtle label on the lid - I bought it from a farmshop - I was really lucky (and relieved) that it still worked.
I will use some of this original batch for my next one, possibly tonight.
The mangoes sound like a good idea, I shall look out for some whoopsied fruit as I do want to keep costs down - I've only got £25 to last me to the end of the month on the GC.
Thanks for the ideas.
