This is the meal plan I made using up things in the freezer/cupboards. For these I should only need potatoes and veg. I am also in dire need of bread, butter and marg for baking though. So I think we'll go to asda/tesco tomorrow and try to be restrained.

Popped to Asda to get dishwasher tablets but saw yellow labels I simply could not refuse:
12 sandwich baps 93p - put them in the freezer for spring break lunches
diced beef £2.45 (got 2) that's hubbies curry sorted for 2 weeks
salads 78p (got 2, one for dinner 2nite and one for lunch tomorrow - small salad in my work is normally 1.50)
lemon cakes 58p
crumpets 40p (hubby happy on Sunday morning)
and at the till they had a pack that included 2 toothpastes and 2 toothbrushes all for £1
After Spring break my youngest is starting nursery full-time, I can't wait cos then I can become a real yellow label/whoopsie tart in all the shops!!!!!Taking responsibility for my future!

MY NAME IS TEEDY23 AND I'M A SHOPPAHOLIC. A NSD was I delusional when I put that in, knowing I was going to Tesco to pick up pots ordered from Direct! Here,s what I bought.
3x VOL-AU-VENTS (12 in box)
1 FLORA SPREAD
2x BAGS CARROTS
1x PORTABELLO MUSHROOMS (2 in pack)
1x ORGANIC RED WINE
Now having said that, the carrots were BOGOF, the vol-au-vents reduced to 37p, the mushrooms reduced to 59p, the Flora has a 30p coupon inside and the wine reduced from £4.99 to £2.99. The total bill..£6.53 or £5.91 counting the BOGOF.
I did say I would use any underhand method to get there so....I handed over my little stash of coupons. One from Flora purchased earlier, and the rest from D.M. and other wee bits. Final bill 22p.
Oh and at the end of the checkout was a lovely reciept with 36 points unclaimed. All in all a good day, the sun was beating down , I kid you not. The forecast is for snow tmrw, maddness.:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o

No posts for 1 1/2 hrs - everyone must be cooking tea :rotfl: . My dad had to go to hospital today (its catching!) so I hitched a lift and had a wander round the town, did sneak into Waitrose and spent the grand total of £1.24 (including some cat food), they won't get rich on me :rotfl: !!!
Did get some other non GC stuff - the sun didn't make much of an appearance today! Off to Mr M's tomorrow with my mum, I don't need anything  , lets see if I can spend less than today :rotfl: .0 -

BIGMUMMAF- lemon sorbet is really easy...
1 pint of water and 4-6 tbs of sugar (i like my sorbet alittle sour then usual so if you wanna add a little more go for it) put the water and sugar in a pan, heat up til the sugar melts, now add the peel and juice of 2 lemons heat til water bubbles and then simmer for 2-3 mins (depending on how lemony you want it).... then get rid if the peel and any pips and pop it in a container and put it in the freezer for 4 hours... then take out freezer and whisk until mushy... get 1 egg white and whisk til frothy (not to much) ... add to the lemon slush... whisk together and then pop it back in the freezer for another 4 hours and hey presto!! lemon sorbet ... yum yum yum xxxStill searching .....:)

Third post today, no more I promise.
Made Twinks hobnobs and the oh likes them, he's already had 6 and even tried 1 myself. Nice but not very good for SW.
Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi all,
Been to Sainsburys again for yet more milk today:rolleyes:
Also bought DS2 some long, denim shorts whilst I was there as he declared today that none of his trousers fit him:eek: They were only £5 and I had a 200 point coupon for £5 spend on clothes so not too bad. Gonna have to get him some more though as he really does only have 2 or 3 pairs of trousers that fit now!!
Had a mega baking and cooking session yesterday, but it's nearly all gone already!
that nobody person has been round again:rolleyes: and snaffled nearly all the rock buns!!
Also made sultana scones, victoria sponge, cheese and herb bread, sausage casserole and bacon n bean stew
The ice-cream i made the other day was very nice too.
I'm still feeling quite positive, will probably only need a chicken and some mince from the butcher's tomorrow and then cereal for the week (as well as the daily milk, running at 8 pints a day at the mo:eek: )Official DFW nerd - 282 'Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts'

Our total is now £59.22 out of £230.
I have a big shopping list for MrT right next to me, and there aren't even any meals on it yet!
I am awaiting the arrival of our new freezer on Thursday. Until then I am [STRIKE]trying[/STRIKE] to keep the shopping as low as possible.
DS1 decided, it was a good idea to put a whole toilet roll down the upstairs loo.
Now it is blocked:mad:I wish Germany had a website like moneysavingexpert!0
