Had to go shopping again yesterday for:-
Diluting Juice
Hand soap
cheese
pain killers
and cold meat
Shaving foam
orange Juice
Spent £21.13:eek:  .
will update sig shortly.
have just remembered will need to go back to shop again later cos, I need cereal and potatoes.
Dinner tonight DH is having steak with potato wedges and Cauliflour cheese, Im having just cauliflour cheese with veg, and kids are having savoury pancakes with veg.
Ive never made savoury pancakes before (always said I would but never got round to it). Do I just make pancakes as normal. I was going to fill the pancakes with cheese & ham. Do I use soft cheese and cold meat or bacon
.
Any suggestions welcome please, also, any variations of fillings for the pancakes too if you dont mind.
Every night this week, there has been food leftover from dinner, and I have managed to freeze the leftovers for another time. Tuesday was HM sweet & sour chicken, Wednesday was HM bacon and egg tart, and last night was HM mediteranian shepherds pie. Im keeping fingers crossed that I wont need to go for another big shop this month, and just need to shop for top ups.

Hope everyone is doing well on their challenge, I have given up reading through all the posts but thank you to everyone who does post here. I am really trying to do this right this month and even though I did a huge asda shop yesterday and went to get some bits locally today I have bought staples and storecupboard ingredients that will last me ages. I didnt buy any sweets/choc/fizzy etc rubbish stuff that bumps up the price of your shop.
Co op have bogof deals on pasta and the pasta sauces so I got some as a treat as I normally make my own tomato sauce but I'm so tired with work (and I think I'm anaemic) so I'm trying to be OS and cut down on excess work too...very difficult.
I did chicken drumsticks last night roasted in oven, only paid £1 odd for 7 of them (near sell by date) and had jackets and broccoli, I have also started serving up less food instead of having to deal with leftovers or giving it to the dog! They can fill up on bread and water!!!
Anyhoo, I'm planning nutritious meals and drinking orange juice with my iron tablets to boost intake and all the food I bought is good nutritional value per pence. Fingers crossed I make it this month. Good luck allSave £12k in 2012 no.49 £10,250/£12,000

Hi All......MrT stole another £15 from me yesterday & I only went in for stork:o But I've picked up a piece of 'River Cobbler' from the counter for me to try---looks like smoked haddock but cheaper at the mo---& a new mop too. I'll add it on to the spends I've had already this week but not yet updated:whistle:
For those who are looking for healthier eating like Chewy62, check out the Lose Weight OS thread...our fabulous MrsMc works her magic there too:D
A plea for recipes goes out to:-- Searching_Me for lemon sorbet----I lurve sorbet & got a fresh pineapple for £1:19 in Lidl's the other day---mmmm
- 666paws for the SW choc cake----offspring adore choc cake so anything I can do to help them restrict their waistlines has got to be included
- Sashanut for chorley cakes, even tho I suspect they may counter-act the sw choccie one:D

Im going to attempt Twinks Hobnobs today bu ive only got brown or caster sugar, could I use any of that?
Hi paw. I made some last weekend using just what I had to hand, brown demerera sugar, golden syrup, oats, stork margarine, no bicarb. They weren't much like 'hob nob' bisuits you buy from the shop, they weren't as firm and biscuity, but they WERE absolutely delicious ;D
Just have a go with what you've got to hand0 -
May I rejoin ?
Had a dire time in Feb and March  and am really miffed with myself.
Please put me down for £ 250.
Just like an earlier poster I need to work out how to sort out my signature so that I can keep tabs and let all other challengers know how I'm doing too.
Think that'll be a way of keeping me motivated.July £10 a day challenge £ 20.05 / £ 1550 -

Me again.
Just been to butchers for bacon and spent £3.09. Decided to take a walk to the allotment and ask for advice on planting leeks, well what a bargain I got. A nice gentleman gave me the much needed advice and also 6 large parsnips and 5 large leeks, (offered him money but refused).
BigmummaF - I wil post recipe when I found what ive done with it.
MrDT - Thanks for that, must go and start some now.
Thanks again to all

Need to go out after the school run and get baking flour. I also need eggs and DH wants jacket potatoes and salad for tea so I'll get some big pots.
Still have some moc's so will see if I can get them scanned. Ooh- that reminds me- I must put the flora one in my purse. A lot of my coupons expired at the end of March/ beginning April but I'll still give them a bash. I'll just pick the busiest queue with the most bored looking assistant!
I have my new BM too so will have a play with that tonight as we're out of bread and will need some for the morning.
