    Hi all!

I posted yesterday and said we were nearly at the end of our month and had spent about £300, well we've been to Iceland and topped the freezer up and spent another £25:eek: . This will all help out next months budget though.I will be happy to get away with anything under £300 for our first proper month on the GC but £290 would be great!I' off to do a menu plan now!

I wasn't going to give myself a target for my first month on the challenge but I have decided, after working out how much money I've got coming in next month - that I can only afford £220 maximum anyway so there it is! Mrs M please put me down for £220 in May, my first month on the challenge!

Its going to be tough as I've got to cook a birthday meal for my Dad and his wife next weekend, and another birthday meal for my step-sister the weekend after!

    Hi just a quick update

Today I have made MRSM's courgette muffins, but, have made them with gluten free fibre mix (due to mum being on gluten free diet) and I am pleased to report that these are going down a treat :j. Made a slight error in judgement in using giant muffin cases tho as in trying to stretch the mixture one or two resemble biscuits :rotfl:.

and all because I did not want to break into next months new budget to buy smaller ones

Glad you like them :T .... i did the opposite to you..instead of putting into giant muffin cases..i did itty bitty ones and then looked shocked when they tried to escape :rotfl: . I can also report that the mini ones can be eaten straight from the freezer  .... I have only had 1 though-so far :A :rotfl:

Im trying to make space in the freezer ready to make a 2nd batch..... although i keep finding loads of recipes i want to try

    Mrs Mc -

Did you get my message about the pots? I have quite a few big terracotta ones if you'd like them, if you want to pick them up - just let me know what day is convenient and I will leave them outside my house.

No probs if you don't - I will get rid of them somehow - just wanted to offer them to a fellow MSE'er first!

    Best wishes

    Mrs LH

Hi Mrs. McC, think I'm done now for April, somehow managed to come in under target, but stocks much lower than they used to be! Anyway, I'm declaring with £133.04

Please can you add me for £160 again for May, (exams looming, bound to be eaten out of house and home by stressed teenagers!)

    Thank you very much
