Yes its for OB and me. I'm lucky because I have my main meal provided at school. Had delicious Veggie Chilli Con Carni today.. our cook is fantastic, we even have roast dinners with 5 types of veggies some days... and lots of calorific desserts. If I'm feeling good I have salad with fresh fruit.
As a result I just have a snack in the evening. OB takes sandwiches to work (egg mayo - as we buy FR eggs from one of my pupils £1 for 6 or sausage next month, after taking advantage of an T offer).
OB may think I'm mad but he's very proud of me... and dreams of hearing his first Howler Monkey...we are well suited...!!!!?????????!!!!
Quick Question: Went to Tesco last night. A lady had half a trolley full of reduced veg and was holding up each product for the Tesco Assistant to reduce them even more. What was she going to do with it all????

Hi everyone
Have now stopped adding my spends, just toooo depressing. DD sent home from nursery yesterday with 'slapped cheek' that DD had last week - so another trip to MrM's for things to tempt her and make her feel better, eg ice cream, DVD etc. Will start a shiny new fresh out the wrapper budget 1st May, until then will just purchase what I need, mainly fruit.
nothing to do with food but got £65 credited to account yesterday from quidco for switching gas and elec thru' them :j:j:j.
Have a good night everyone

Hiya! Didn't get home til 8pm tonight as I insisted that we were doing the monthly shop today! OH just looked at me and rolled his eyes! Is it sad that I thought that was exciting? Don't answer that!
Spent £11 in Lidl (although £2.99 doesn't count as it wasn't food!) and £75.95 in Asda. Handed over a bundle of MOC but she'd only take 4...admittedly I hadn't bought anything that was on there! Still she managed to take the ones that I'm pretty sure were out of date so never mind! That's £1 saved!
Going to the butchers tomorrow to get out meat for the month and then after that, we're all done apart from fresh stuff. By the way, Lidl had Celery for 16p and Asda still have tinned tomatoes for 19p and chopped for 21p so don't worry about the rise in Tomato prices yet!! Stocked up on Cheapy 19p pasta too!
Woohoo! Just opened my post and got a cheque from CC for reclaiming charges. Only partial payment though so off now to write cheque asking for the rest of it!!

Thanks Bargin Rzl
The fish is raw. I just saw it and thought that's cheep then put it in the freezer and just keep moving it around but now I have found MSE I don't wnat to waste it. I have really got the bug thanks to everyone.
If its nice pieces of fish why not poach the salmon and eat it as it is? I thaw mine out and put in a casserole dish with about half inch of water. Takes about 6 mins for one portion to cook.
The white fish-if a fillet, thaw and coat in flour and pan fry.Annual Grocery budget 2018 is £1500 pa £125 calendar month £28.84 pw for 3 adults0 -
total money spent for april grocery challenge = £110.25 :j
i am really pleased with my total and have managed to stash an extra £100 towards my wedding :smileyhea don`t think i could go much lower though as oh does like to eat meat and i don`t like buying the cheap value meat so we have small portions of quality and lots of stews spag bols etc that i can stretch and bulk out.
i went to a chinese supermarket today (yest now) expecting it to be cheap and i could maybe buy a few things in bulk like rice/vinegar and some spices etc and i was really dissappointed because it was really quite expensive. we had a wander around and i walked out empty handed  won`t be going there again!!! although it would help my grocery challenge budget as i would go shopping without parting with money:rotfl:
will be doing an online shop soon but thats coming out of mays money as my month runs 22nd-22nd.
i now just need to learn the art of stopping my 2 men picking in the kitchen and food would last a lot longer  i made 12 choccy muffins yest (using leftover yucky chrimbo choccy) and they were gone in 2 minutes  has anybody got any tips other than chopping their arms off and keeping cakes under 24 hour surveillance?:rotfl:i also made a load of mince pies from mincemeat reduced to 10p after chrimbo but managed to get most of those to the freezer intact where i can pull out a few every couple of days so we dont get sick of them.
proper prior planning prevents !!!!!! poor performance!Only when the last tree has died and the last river been poisoned and the last fish been caught will we realise we cannot eat moneyquote from an american indian.0 -

whenever i make choc chip muffins i do it when theres nobody else in the house, so they can't smell them, then i just leave 2 or 3 out, and freeze the rest!!0
