Not read the thread for the last few pages but thought I'd drop in and post an update.
Spent £35 in morrisons yesterday. They had 10 muller light yogs for £2 if anyone likes those it's a bargain. 18 free range eggs for £2.99. I probably spent a bit more than I should have but I think I'm going to come in under this month so thought I would get some supplies for next month like value washing powder and my bran twigs, Morrisons frequently don't have these 2 items in stock so I tend to stock up when I see them.
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend, Will catch up with the rest of the thread later on.........

Good afternoon everyone:hello: .
Went to MR T this morning and spent a total of £38.97. Signature updated.
Parsnips(99p for 500g) and tomato ketchup(1.27 for 685g) are on BOGOF if anyone is interested:D
Cathedral city cheese 400g 2 pack for £4 but includes 3 varieties. normal, lighter and extra mature.
Am planning on popping to MR M at some point over next few days to see what offers are on. Anything i buy will be going towards future months challenges.
At the moment we are under budget by just over £30 and our challenge finishes on friday.
Made chicken cobbler last night and it went down very well.
OH Has asked for it again.:D
Off out tonight for a meal but OH will be paying and it wont be coming out of the grocery budget.;)'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle'0 -
Right not sure if good month or not? Spent £238.08 so far and just emergency top ups required until friday. Although I have spent enough today
(£62 between Mr T and Aldi) to hopefully avoid that.
We were away for 5 days so that should have covered 5 days of groceries as well. Overspent there by £50 and the £238 doesnt include monies spent by OH. I have a separate OH budget lol!. This means I am actually spending about £20 or more a month than budget including his spends.
Cupboards and fridge are full to bursting and freezer isnt looking too bad so lets hope May is better. Will declare final spend on Thurs or Friday.
Now got about 5 pages to catch up on.:j0 -
BARGAIN ALERT
Tesco value strawberry flavour whip (like angel delight) just 3p:j0 -
Hi All
not posted for a while as we're really busy but have managed to keep up with everyone's posts ('cos I'm [STRIKE]very interested[/STRIKE] a nosy beggar!)
I haven't had time to update my signature yet but I'm VERY close to going over (gulp!), so am keeping a close eye on things.
I've noticed that a couple of our usual regulars haven't posted for a while either so just wanted to check out
JacksXXX and Mike D (the FM) - is everything OK with you? Hope you are doing allright. We're missing you!

Does anyone know of anywhere still selling off easter eggs - wish I had got them when I saw them in ASDA for 50p - but wasn't thinking:mad:
I got DD a small diego type one from Aldi last week for 49p. They also had character ones with mugs (thomas, miss kitty etc) for £1.49. They had BBD of Sept 09. There weren't many left though so be quick

Hi all,
Well I managed to get to Lidl this afternoon so thats 10 bags of bread flour - where does everyone store all the extra stock? I think I'm going to have to expand into the spare room wardrobe as like lots of newer houses this one is really lacking in storage space. What I would give for a proper walk-in pantry;)
Well the plan for this weekend was supposed to be making a start on the garden so I can grow some veges. We have a rather crazy German Shepherd and I have come to the conclusion that if we put in some raised beds we might be able to discourage him from eating the shoots. (or the harvest for that matter) We had to demolish our greeenhouse last year so the garden looks like a wasteland at the moment.
OH has worked out how we are going to build the beds so all I have to do now is drag him away from his tax calculations (he was made redundant last july and has been temping since then so I supose it can get complicated)
Anyway enough waffle - I'll go drag him out to the garden centre after I have updated my sig.
Keep up the good work everyone:T0 -

Another £12.23 spent today, that included some chicken which I wasn't planning on buying -Lidl currently has 4 reasonable sized chicken breasts for £2.95.
I noticed Lidl also have bags of oats that are called something like 'fine flaked oats' for about 38p and I was wondering if anyone knows if they are suitable for making flapjacks with? Thanks0 -
