Congratulations to frankeroonie.

just come to say hi to everyone, and update my siggy. only spent 3.17 today :j
i got some UHT milk to make some yogurt (anyone know where the cheapest place is to get this?), some ordinary milk, crisps & a cucumber!
Doing this challenge has really made me stop and think before i spend any money, cos before, i would have 2 freezers full of food, and STILL buy more, cos i'd think there was nothing in!
so thanx everyone, for keeping me motivated, and for all the recipes xx0 -

I`m guilty of having a big freezer full of food and i`m hoarding it:o
It`s not that i don`t like the things that are in there cos i`ve made em all myself and they are yummy, i just seem to have an obsession with stockpiling it. It`s almost like i`m scared to use it in case i need it another time.
I batch cook and make things for when i`m on awkward shifts so that i`m not nipping into shops at work and spending silly amounts but when the awkward shifts come around i`m frantically making something else to take to work or to leave DH to heat up for his meals.
The Dahl in the slowcooker at the moment dosent have a prayer of getting into the freezer unless i take something out and i know it will be a loaf that gets taken out so that i can wedge it in there, thinking about it i don`t think i have any cartons left to freeze it in either so it will probably end up in the fridge in a casserole dish
I`m even sat here wondering what i can make next instead of doing the housework:rolleyes:
Oh well not all bad then:D

Afternoon everyone
Spent €4 on food this morning.... in the chiller i spotted a vegetarian wok kit... in there they have a bag of marinated meat substitute -looks like its supposed to be chicken -ish, a packet of noodles and a pouch of fresh thai sauce(panang flavour)... all the items have a date of the begining of 2009 on themyet the box has todays date on..so i guess the cardboard is out of date :rotfl:
Anyway the kit was down from €3.99 to €1 so i grabbed all 4..as each one serves 2 and im going to add extra veggies -and i love thai food, I'm not veggie but used to be so im quite happy not to eat meat every meal...in fact im starting to find that i stuggle to digest most meat..apart from chicken...
So i had better add my €4 to my signature
oooh and not out of the shopping budget..but i spotted a pair of 3/4 black denim trousers reduced to €5.99 -about £4.50 and as im losing weight i could do with some bits n pieces -anyway i got them thinking i might get into them towards the end of summer-possibly autumn as they were a 44..or an 18 to you n me..and the waist is fixed..no elastic to be seen... feeling a bit brave (or foolish) i thought i would try them on and see how far they would come up...expecting sort of mid thigh if i was lucky-but  they flippin well pull up and fasten :j ..ok they are a bit tight..but not uncomfy-cutting my circulation off tight..so im chuffed to little mint balls ..... so that should keep me focussed on carrying on eating properly..especially as last july I had to buy some evans size 32s  heck the things i confess to on here
..right i will shuffle of and update my signature

Mrs Mc i`ll be having a good old nosey on that weightloss thread when i get a bit more time, i`ve just posted on another thread about having my last ciggie a couple of hours ago and as soon as i`m losing the craving i need to lose a couple of stone (to start with anyway)
I only need to look at food and i slap on the pounds and i`m off on holiday later this year so i really would like to enjoy the beach if i can.
My heaviest was 17st and at the moment i`m a bit short of 16st so i have a fair struggle ahead:o
