This must be such a hard decision for you to make (and obviously not helped by the overwhelming silence from your OH). Of course you need the security of knowing when you'll be paid - I certainly wouldn't be able to cope financially if I didn't get paid. I hope your OH breaks his silence so you can both discuss what's best for you.
Of course, in an ideal world money would be secondary to our dream career but this is a real(ly depressing at times world we live in where finance often has to take priority in decision making stakes)!
