The most normal thing I now do (which in the old days I used to take for granted) is open the post as it comes, instead of leaving it for a day when I felt brave. However I must say my recycle bin has never been so full
I now have envelopes in which I divvy out my money at the start of the month. It helps me to budget my money throughout the month as you can actually see what money you have left at any time (rather than try and figure out a statement which may not be accurate online)
At easter weekend my hubby took me on a shopping trip and we bought things for the baby. I had spent months buying from ebay so it was nice to also have some essentials such as the bottles and mattress brand new. It was librating paying cash but I felt over cautious and paranoid having clutching my handbag as it had all our baby money in it and I was scared I would get my bag snatched! Im sure it gave the security fellas a laugh though, although they are probably used to hormonal woman acting strange.:rotfl:0 -

I'm on day minus three now.. start proper on monday, though to be honest I may well start this weekend as already gone from around 15-20 down to 4 or 5 and even those few I do smoke now its more out of feeling I should smoke not that I "need" to smoke.. does that make sense?
:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -

I think so... Good luck...you'll feel so much healthier with giving up...i think its gonna be hard but if you've already started weaning yourself off them then hopefully will be ok for you..
good luck :TBSC MEMBER NO. 125:D

Waspeze,
Great that you have cut down...its not easy so very well done. Just think of the pennies (well pounds actually) you are saving!!0 -
Thanks Angel
I've definitely given myself a focus... used to go to a lot of festivals and worked out that with the money I save I could go to one a month  .
I won't do that but it just puts the cost into perspective for me which is what I needed I think!
Thanks again!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
"no cardboard was hurt in the making of this horse" !!!
OMG, I can't remember the last time I laughed like this. My 'horse' was a dressing gown cord wrapped around the post at the ends of the bed for reins!! Bring back the good old days eh?
My bed was my trampoline ...nearly broke my neck after watching the gymnasts on tv:o:rotfl:
good days gambit wish life was that simple now:beer:0 -
I remember the old days...many times as a kid playing 'forts' with the quilts as roofs etc...happy days indeed...Think people would look strange now if i did it at 31!..
but what the hell....wheres my quilt gone!!
Dave.
never had a quilt dave but the bedsheets made great wig wams , tents and parachutes(hmmmm parachute did nt work too well though )
cheers mate and hope your day goes well0 -
