  • sorry guys but how do i disable the secondary master?
  • A KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR might be faulty RAM or hard drive, but it's possible it could be related to the software. Have you (or any overexcitable random-clicking kids :D) made any changes to your system recently? Downloaded any new stuff or deleted anything?
  • no mikefishcake have not changed anything thats the mystery i read that about kernal etc etc but have added or changed anything.
Any ideas about disableing the secondary master anybody and what happens when i do? and restart my comp?

set them all to none apart from the hd and save, if you can get the cover off, it might be easier to pull the cable out. There is no guarantee this will make any difference btw, just something to try

    primary master, auto
    primary slave none
    secondary master none
    secondary slave none

if it doesn't work, do you have the XP disk?
Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time?

This happened to my PC the other day. Phoned PC Performance who told me I would have to use recovery discs to re-load the Windows software. I lost all my files as PC World wanted £100 to backup my data!!! Luckily I don't really have that much stuff saved!
