I never had a broad accent but apparently it is still possible to tell I am Scottish.
Funnily enough English people notice it - rather than Scots.
I have an aunt who is like that - she has lived in London for 25 years, and everyone comments on how Scottish she sounds, but whenever she comes to visit us, we reckon she sounds as English as the Queen :rotfl: :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. I used to go out with a gorgeous lass from Aberdeen who had the most amazing sexy Scottish accent.
Funnily enough she thought my Irish accent was lovely even though I'm from N. Ireland :rotfl:
It was like listening to the Colin and Edith show on Radio One :rotfl:NCFC Member #00012 :cool:0 -

We have had a decent time up here with the TD voucher - plenty of wipes in stock the last time I looked - no DR stuff here tho' (but filled my boots when I was in Aberdeen this weekend - and a big Hi to the woman I met there on Sunday at about 1.30pm with Shetland connections!)
And Hi to F1F1 too - not seen you one here for a while!0 -
I don't mind my accent at all. I'm from near Inverness.If I had known then what I know now . . .

I think its just brilliant that no matter where you go in the world, the scots are always well received. The fact that the lads with their GORGEOUS irish accent love my scottish accent is a bonus! :T0

I love the scottish accent, whichever part of Scotland it comes from, regardless of if I can understand what is being said or not.0
