Does no one else have dirty rain, is it just a Belfast thing?

We have a lot of building work going on at the minute in Belfast and I think this might be the reason for the dirty rain .... when I say dirty I do mean windows looking filthy etc...
It's probably not the rain that's dirty, just that there is a film of dust on the windows, etc, which clumps together and is more noticeable after the rain.0
