Yes, she did try that, but they would not play ball. She was made to think she should be grateful for the £12.50 concession. They have lost the business.Peter0

The whole point of this site is to screw the banks before they screw you - which means reading the smallest of smallest print in T&Cs and adhering to them. Sorry - no sympathy.0

People post for facts and support not rude insults and to be told we have no sympathy..
This post has shown me (who is new to money saving) how important it is to read the terms. I would also have thought that they decline your card if reach your limit.. so something else learned.. So thank you peawack for this post.. :T0 -
Thank you Little Miss Sunshine for your intelligent response. You beat me to the punch. I was about to explain that sympathy was the last thing I was wanting or expecting, and that if someone else benefitted from our experience with MBNA, it was worth it. A couple of the contributions gave me the creeps, and while I'm no friend of the banks, I get the impression that they are easier to deal with and have more compassion than some people (on this board) who are supposed to be on our side.
These people,who relish other's mis-fortune, would prove difficult in any facet of life.Peter0 -
I sould have said thank you Girl PowerPeter0

Eh? It's all automated. If they wanted to, they could easily decline all transactions tat took you over your credit limit.0 -
Of course any good MSEr would realise that the biggest mistake your wife made was to actually spend on her MBNA card when she had this promotional rate ....I've learnt that the other way that MBNA (like all cc companies) make money is the way that they apply your payment to the outstanding balance.2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.
