  • Afternoon all :) Hope everyone is ok, will catch up with the thread in a minute, its a long one today!

Have spent the morning having a huge clear out of the kitchen, cannot believe how much stuff i managed to squeeze in there. The thing is when i moved in here i didn't have much so everyone gave me bits and pieces to start me off and then i didn't get rid of them even when i bought my own stuff eg pans, plates, cups etc so there was loads  I feel loads better now, i'm aiming to get through the whole house as it looks like we'll be here when baby arrives and its cramped enough as it is, dont want loads of stuff we dont use/need cluttering us up.

All meals today are leftovers - i had the dregs of 2 boxes of cereal mixed with a handful of dried fruit for brekkie, a tiny portion of leftover pasta bake from last night which i chucked a tin of tuna and some salad stuff that was looking sad in the fridge, mixed all together with a squirt of mayo and black pepper :) Tea is leftover bolognese with jacket spuds with some bananas which are on the turn and custard. All very O/S today! :D

Oh and duh me, OH booked me a pedicure for my birthday present which i thought was at 2pm today, got all ready and set off on my way only to glance at the app card to see its actually tomorrow at 2pm :o Glad i didn't get there lol!!!

    Take care all

laptops are great. this is my second. it does take a bit of getting used to the touch pad mouse thingy, but you can always plug a mouse in if you prefer.
I tend to use mine like a desktop so hence it is usually plugged into the mains. much neater and you can hide it in a drawer unlike the desk top which seems to dominate the whole room its in. The back light in mine was getting very unreliable so we got this one. my daughter is using the old one until it finally dies.

mumzy, in forums its a bit different from real life. you'll find that people dont always reply to every post, and it would be physically impossible to do so. but they will hit the thanks button to show they have read your post. just jump in and throw caution to the wind. folks round here are very nice...promise

Well, I can't keep up with this thread today and keep checking to see if Smoky has posted, so I'll just post now to say if you do manage to come on later Smoky, I hope today went as well as it could and you and the children spent some precious time with Eric. I'll be thinking of you all tommorrow and praying that the day itself goes ok. Remember all your OS friends are thinking of you and please contact me any time you need to talk.

Still at work - but I leave in 20 minutes :j Have just been browsing Mr T's and my favourite wine is on offer :T Will have to get a couple of bottles on the way home ;)

DD will be at footie practice, so a quick swish round the house before picking her up, then I need to get her bathed, fed and ready for her school play in an hour (inc travelling  ). Looking forward to watchinh her play though :D

Tea tonight will be something with mince for DH and I, and DD will have a jacket spud with tuna.

Smoky - I hope you and your little ones are taking care of yourselves as best you can - thinking of you all

Oh my goodness. What a long thread today - will need to catch up as I feel something afoot.

Flooring guy here this morning and he has finished off. He also very kindly put my two flat pack cupboards together (I gave him extra as when I saw what he was doing it would have involved lots of swearing, blood and not the right tools!). He was a star! Tiles tomorrow. Finally getting there. Just done a big hoover as the sawdust dust is huge, also washed down flooring with Stardrops. It is looking good, I feel the end in sight!

The bathroom needs a swish so going to do that now. An added bonus - new curtains for spare room just before Christmas- put the liners on today and rehung!

Would you believe it - I had to go out and water my pansies and polyanthus - they were keeling over due to lack of water and because of the winds the pots had dried out!

Love and hugs to all just in case I don't get back today.

You have hit the nail on the head! We should not feel pressurised to mention folk. I do sometimes at the weekend hit the thanks button to everyone just to say hello!

We are all going about our daily life with highs and lows (I am stressed at the moment with home improvement but know it will be fine!)

Sometimes life just makes it difficult to mention everyone and I don't think we should!

However, I Just want to say to Smoky amd family - love, hugs and we will all be thinking of you tomorrow. Wish I could be there for you.

Phew ! that took some reading 120 posts,
First of all Much love and many prayers to ((((((((Smokey + LO's))))))))))

Mumzy I have sent you a pm. I have only been on here for a couple of weeks now, when I first "eaves read" I felt an outsider, a bit like starting a new school. :o I was worried about doing my first post incase everyone thought " Who is she? What does she want? " How wrong could I have been, I have never found such kind caring funny people in 1 small group. I didn't get many replies at first but I know I was accepted by the amount of thanks I received.
I have joined the knitting squares group which was started here AND I made BBoy laugh. ( no mean feit ) sp. No offence BBoy you were in great form yesterday.
Have to check the oven back soon. :D
