Continual Diamond, Does your OH belong to a Trade Union? They may be able to help, or yours if you belong to one. I know it feels tough now but bad times do not last forever. Some years ago I found myself in my forties, divorced and in a low paid job. I very nearly ended up homeless because, as you have discovered there is no help for childless persons. I did a postgraduate degree on top of my job and this enabled me to get a well paid job. But I would not like to have to go through that kind of thing again. I hope your OH finds a job soon.
Calley, if you want to continue airing your problems may I suggest you take them to the moneysaving arms.Be nice to people who are on their way downYou never know when they are going to pass you on their way back up againYou cannot light your own candle by blowing out someone else's0
