  • I'm glad you've posted, was going to up this to see how things are going. Hope hubbie isn't too difficult a patient - especially with the school hols and all the children around too. Keep posting if only to escape everyone else ( mind you I can rarely get ON the pc because of my 3 hogging it all day)
Hope it all works out at the B & B. My first ever job was at a B&B - I could never work out where the owners slept in the summer until I spotted one of them emerging from what I had thought was a garden shed - it was TINY! Must have had Barbie bunk beds or something! :D
Must get round to posting again on the 'what small things...' thread and perhaps launching my own diary
All the best - hope the op goes well

    Getting there...slowly! :D

    GC : must do better
    NSD: very rare

No matter how slow I go I am lapping everyone on the couch.

  • Hello all

well I've not been around for a few weeks. Hubbie's been off work, and I've been working lots.

We've sort of fallen off the wagon a bit, but am now raring to get back on. I've also noticed some ways have rubbed off onto hubbie and even the kids!

    best wishes

  • Am going to do a new SOA and post later. Yes I am putting it off as I'm ashamed I've peddaled backwards and not forwards!

On a major plus have got regular work at the B&B each week, so am able to include that. Am also waiting for a cleaning job to come thru.

Have been saving for Christmas , so most shopping has been done, am well chuffed, the older kids will think I've spent loads when I haven't!

Okay will have another cuppa and then show the bare facts.

    Many thanks

    Hiya Hon,

good to see you back & that you survived the weeks at home with the patient ;)

Great news about work at the b & b, it's somewhere to escape to as well as earning you money :D

Dont be too hard on yourself about sliding off the DFW wagon, it happens to us all now & then - yep, I speak from personal & recent experience

Hope that you're well, look forward to reading your new plans

  • I know I said I'd post a up to date SOA, but am still avoiding it at the mo!

Good news is I've managed to transfere all my credit cards to one card, so can concerntrate on clearing one, instead of 3!

Have completed Christmas shopping, so have no 'extra' spending to do. Just need to make money. Have listed on Ebay, and am looking for extra cleaning.

Main problem at the mo is I'm very low. My depression is creeping around and I'm getting lower and lower. I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow, no doubt an increase in meds is required.

Thanks for reading this, I don't expect anyone to respond, just I need to get it out of me before it goes way out of hand.

    best wishes

    Hi charlotte,

sorry to hear the depression is building up again, it's so gloomy outside & it feels like it's been dark all day which really doesnt help. Glad you're already booked in to see doctor.

Well done on the balance transfer :D I'm sure that will help to keep you focused, does it make the total balance seem scarier though ? Good luck with job hunting, I'm also on the look out for cleaning or other part time / casual work but there doesnt seem to be anything about that fits in with school hours

Post your soa in your own time & when you can take the 'advice' that is offered ;)

take care of yourself & I hope the meds kick in & perk you up again soon

  • Okay my head is now out of the sand and I'm here with a new SOA

    Rent - £600
    Council Tax - £117
    TV Licence - £11.61
    Life insurance (Hubbie) - £19.24
    Life Insurance (Me) - £12.76
Phone and Broadband - £50 - includes line rental
    currys - £4.49
    Sky - £48
    Anglian Water - £36.22
    Loan - £173.14
    Lloyds Credit card £200
    EDF Dual fuel £60
    E&S Water - £36
    Petrol - £120
    Food - £300
    entertainment (Beer) - £100
    car expenses - £30

    Total £ 1918.46

    Incomings

Hubbie wages average £300 per week £ 1200 (normally more)
    Child Benefit £175.60
    My Income £296
    Child Tax Credit £391.36

    Total £ 2062.96

    Debits

Lloyds TSB Loan £ 9939.96 paying £173.14 per month
Lloyds TSB master card £ 6585.39 paying £200 per month

We are doing okay, its not as bad as I first thought. I have a surplus each week, so am happy with that. This is based on basic figures, hubbie normally brings home more than that, and I can earn more, but these figures are the lowest we'd bring home.

Would appreciate any advice or comments. I know Broadband/telephone/sky are high but am currently in a package for Broadband/telephone.

Beer is our entertainment budget, we don't go out only to friends.

    best wishes

Hello, I found you again ;)

Well done for posting the SOA & all I can say is horrendous price on phone/ broadband & sky

could you switch to an all in one bundle ? I have phone with free week end calls, broadband & cable tv all for £30 with Virgin, I believe that sky also do a similar package, let me guess OH likes the sports

Keep trucking on as we all do & one day we will be debt free....

    take care of yourself

    hugs
    Lula xx
  • Have managed a no spend day, am really chuffed with my food shopping, at the moment have only spent £130!

The car insurance renewal has come today, I'm surprised its the same as I was quoted online! Needless to say am very happy to continue with current insurer.

Am doing a bit better at the moment. Aren't so low so everyday is not such a struggle.

    Best wishes
