We have a servis and its been going good for 7 years. Its started making a few funny noises now though but 7 years without any faults and being knocked around a lot as weve moved house 5 times is pretty good.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

As someone who has been installing washers for the past 2 years I can honestly advise against Hotpoint/Indesit. The build quality is not what it used to be.
My personal recommendation is Miele, if you can afford it
2nd would be Bosch, 3rd Siemens, 4th Zanussi.
Miele's very rarely break down but are expensive if they do, however, they do have excellent customer service.

Im after a 6kg machine min, with a 1400 spin. Anyone recommend where I can get one reasonably priced? One that will last. I did order a hotpoint but after reading these review have now cancelled my order.Wins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

We have had an AEG for 5 years with no probs A rated and was reasobably priced then. It was made in Germany and I notice the new ones are branded AEG Electrolux so may be different now.
Mind you I bought it as it was A rated but it is cold fill only

Just replaced cr*ppy Indesit that lasted 3 years and after extensive research opted for 6kg, AA rated, 1400 spin Zanussi for just shy of £270.
Can't beat them. A good range of prices and specs too.
btw all modern machines are cold fill now for energy efficiency.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break

Or because the machines are cheaper to make
I know they are more efficent just wondered how it was cheaper to heat water from cold using electricty than using it from our hot water tank heated by OFCH?Dave0 -
I read on Which its not more efficient especially on washes hotter than 40. Its probably because theyre cheaper to makeWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0

Hi all,
Well we had a second hand Zanussi washer for about 12years. That outlived the previous owners next 2 washers. However it finally went to washer heaven about 6 years ago and am now on our 3rd replacement. We tried Samsung large load version, only because it was the only one in stock in the shop at the time. Loads of gadgets on it but lasted only 3 years(we are a family of 4, so not overused particularly. My husband then bought a hotpoint as they were cheap at the time, but ended up being rubbish and didn't last 2 years. We now have a siemans washer(as well as dishwasher and fridge) as their 5year guarantee and service standards are pretty good. Personally I would go for anything that is German made (Miele,Bosch or Siemens) the more you spend the better they seem to get.0
