Interested in the comments on the subject of Premium Bonds.
Just wondered if any of your readers have held any bonds longer than myself. I have had a £1 bond given to me by mother in November 1958 and have won nothing.0 -
£11 of mine were a present in the early 70,s , they have never won.0

My mum has also has a £1 bond since November 1958 and won nothing..
Interesting question wonder if anyone else comes with anything longer.0 -
Nothing for me this monthFriends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.0

Have had bonds since the mid 70s, very small amounts, very occasionally I win £50 on one of the older small-ish blocks of bonds (very rarely nowadays). My Grandma had some when they were first introduced (1956?), and never won a penny between 1956 and 2007 - but her holding was very small.0

I built up to the maximum over decades. This month was the first win over £100. The past 6 months' wins total £1000. The previous 6 months saw wins every month; in only 1 month was it £50, mostly it was between £150-£250. I'm pretty OK with this. Wouldn't have a clue what to do with £1million anyway. I just enjoy a bit of extra income.0

"Winning" is part of the fun of owning them, I'm ok with my returns too, not the best, not the worst, but enjoy the cheques landing on the door mat hopefully every month!
If you don't know what to do with the million, feel free to pass it over if your numbers come up0 -
whoo-hoo!
3x £50 wins for August....
Some personal stats:
16 Prizes during the last 11 months acting as a return of 9.33% on the stoozed amount. Nice!
Best of Luck to you all!Beware Lego Men with Deep pockets...! :cool:0 -
