I've just opened an account with 25 quid last weekend .. I didn't want to open it with more money at first, I thought they were supposed to check proof of ID and address but I had to pay right away before any checks ... so I put just 25 just in case..
I haven't been asked for any proof .. I will add more money next week or so
4 of my £25 bonds that got reinvested won another £25 each.

I also changed last month to have any prizes paid in to my Direct Saver.Swipe said:Just hope they don't mess up paying into my direct saver which I changed it to last month.
The 4 prizes that I received this month were paid in to the DS on the 8th - also received 4 emails from NS&I to tell me about each deposit that had been paid in: "We just wanted to let you know that we've received a bank transfer into your NS&I Direct Saver".Never let the perfume of the premium overpower the odour of the risk1 -
Yes, I got the same so I will leave it as is nowIfts said:

I'm confused about this, is the winning bond number the same as your account holders number? if not, where this winning bond number comes from?
I noticed all winning bonds have a string of numbers and letters. My account holders only have numbers, so I don't know if it's the same thing0 -
Your account holder's number is a number uniquely identifying you as an individual, so you have one and only one holder's number.borderline said:I'm confused about this, is the winning bond number the same as your account holders number? if not, where this winning bond number comes from?

Bond numbers are the numbers uniquely identifying each bond you purchase, so you can have up to 50,000 of these, and any of these can win prizes.
Not sure I'm understanding the confusion but hope that clears it up....2 -

Every £1 you put in is an individual bond. Each one has it's own number. If you buy them together they will run in sequence. It is those individual numbers that are 'drawn' to decide whether you have won.

I was lucky to get a big win in June, as well as a £50. The latter went into my account as usual but the bigger wins you get sent a claim form to complete. So I'm waiting on that prize to be credited at the moment.
