I know opinion is divided, but probably like you, I would have preferred only 1 million monthly prize with more smaller monthly prizes
But putting aside opinions about whether or not this would be a good idea, it's a mathematical fact that doing so would only increase the number of prizes by no more than about 1.3%, so realistically it would have little effect....
It makes enough difference for me to want it (that is where my opinion comes into it) if it doesn't make enough difference for you want it that is where your opinion comes into it.
My post wasn't expressing any opinion about whether or not I want it, but was simply observing the fact that your preferred alternative would only generate 1.3% more prizes, which is objectively a small increase by any measure (but all the more so in the context of the recent prize fund reduction of nearly 30%).

I still want it, if you have an issue with this please PM me, there is no need to bore everyone else on this thread.

By the same token, if we're going to go down the route of trying to dictate who can post what on here, if you want it then contacting NS&I would seem a more obvious route than posting on this thread....
I was merely saying that I would prefer it, but not enough to waste my time contacting NSI (which wouldn't make any difference, because they have decided what they want to do).
I do appreciate that some people would prefer more of an outside chance to win a huge prize, but that isn't why I bought premium bonds, its horses for courses (I know that).

Ouch! That is very poor luck, especially when you consider most of the draws were with a 1.4% prize fund. Hopefully you had some prior good luck?
