Ah thank you - for some reason, I interpreted it as essentially two full months before it being eligible.
That might explain why I won this month...0 -
Another £25 for me this month!(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0

I got £25. first one for ages but recently increased holding.
Following my 'missing' PB topic I checked back when we held a lot and it averaged to 1.25% a year. Pretty rubbish when interest rates on cash were (back then) 5% or better.0 -
Hi all,
I've been pretty rubbish with my finances over the past few years. For example I've had quite a bit of money in a very low interest account as I kept hoping to buy a flat or house so need access to it and I couldn't decide which account to put it in! I have had anxiety with life (well its my personality) and work so it wasn't really a priority. Was kicking myself in Nov when I realised I could have had it in premium bonds and had like 12 months of chances to win big, haha!
Well anyway, I've put a lot in the premium bonds and jan will be the first month they are entered in the draw and I'm dreaming of the win a bit too much! haha. This year is going to be a money saving year for me as I've not been working for months, trying to decide what to do next and I've taken the leap to ditch my old profession likely forever. I'll be taking up a new job soon (which is about a third of the salary) but still hopefully livable wage even as a singleton. But I really hope I will find it rewarding and actually enjoy my free time with less anxiety as I wasn't enjoying life before despite the good pay.
Just wanted to say hello and good luck to everyone (and me!) for this first draw of 20200 -

Interesting topic.
Not read all 270 pages ;P... It is neat tho, because I know one of the RNG mechanisms (I think there has been 3) they had between the start of this thread and now was broken and the same number groups won every month for years, fixed now tho.
For all of 2019 we had just over 1.05%.
For all of 2018 we had just over 1%
For all of 2017 we had just over 1.27%
Oldest bond goes back to 1989.
2006 was our largest bond buying year.
Wife likes them, I am tired of arguing about them taking a loss ever year.
