No doubt it is a random thing but I won 2 x £25 in draw 1 and 1 x £25 in draw 2 but nothing in draws 3 & 4. 15k plus the winnings being used for more bonds.

Thought I'd register and post my luck - or lack of - with premium bonds.
Full 50k holding purchased, first draw in September:

    Sept 2x£25
    Oct 0
    Nov 0
    Dec 0
    Jan 0

    Pretty dire!

Well £50 this month. Last year managed 12.5% return. 2017 managed 12% return and 2016 11% return. So all is good but would love to win more!
  • Nothing on £50K i'm shocked

If it’s not a random thing, it’s all one enormous swindle perpetrated against the public for the last 60 years.
Amazing to see the number of people on here who are happy to believe it’s not random, and don’t seem to object to the apparently deceptive advertising.

It proves that humans instinctively see non-existent patterns in random events. (See also 'confirmation bias'.)

Indeed. One time I watched a bloke playing roulette ( well, all right, me) - started with $100, was up at $1200 in no time flat. Got this strange irrational idea this should continue. Walked out in disgust with $200 about 2 minutes later, more upset at losing $1000 than gaining $100.

  • 2017 £975 on 50K so 1.95%
    2018 £750 on 50K so 1.5%

    5 x £25 to start 2019
  • Here’s my winnings from beginning of 2018 till now

    Jan 18 - zero
    Feb - £25
    Mar - £25
    Apr - zero
    May - zero
    June - zero
    July - zero
    Aug - £75 (3x£25)
    Sep - £25
    Oct - £25
    Nov - zero
    Dec - zero
    Jan 2019 - zero

I now have £12,025 invested - one block of £11,000 and the rest are bits and pieces. All my winnings have been from the £11,000 block apart from one £25 which was from a £100 bond I put in five months earlier.
Hope everyone is lucky this year 🤞
  • Oh - I won £25 in Jan 2019 ...whoops!

If those decimal points are in the right place then you've done extraordinarily well over the past three years, winning about ten times the average, so wanting even more is just plain greedy!
