Same as last month for me, 2 x £25 on 50K

    9 x £25 wins
    1 x £50 win.
for £100k for wife & me.
  • How long does a bank transfer to your premium bonds account take to arrive?
I transferred £5k to mine, using the same bank details already saved from previous payments. This was done early yesterday morning & it still hasn't shown up yet. Whereas the money from Virgin to my bank was there in about 30mins.

As far as prizes, I've never won owt! But I only started saving in June & only had about £1k in it up til now.

I believe from memory it takes up to 3 working days. If you have an Income Bonds account then it is probably quicker to transfer to that then to your bank account.

https://www.nsandi.com/system/files/asset/pdf/premium-bonds-brochure.pdf states (at the top of page 10):
An electronic transfer deposit received by 18:30 on a banking day will normally clear on the next banking day.

Make sure you use the bank details specified in https://www.nsandi.com/files/asset/pdf/premium-bonds-bank-transfer-standing-order-guide.pdf

    I've had a total of £575 this year, mostly £25 wins & a couple of 50's. This month I had 3 x £25 winners. Holdings are around £22k & prizes automatically reinvested.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Mine usually turn up around the 8th-10th of the month.

Sadly I can't tell you whether the £1m prize arrives earlier or later than that.

Doesn't someone by the name of Agent Million come round to your house to give you the news in person if you win the million?
  • Thanks catlady13 & eskbaner. I'll check again in the morning. I've just sent another £800, so that'll be waiting to clear too.

I have about 10K in premium bonds, all bought in blocks. When I win I make a note of which block the winnings come from. I have two particular blocks of numbers which provide all the winnings and very rarely do the other blocks win. (One block if for £500 and the other £2000). Not sure what this proves, if anything, but have noticed that as soon as I buy any premium bonds I seem to win a small prize within the next couple of months.

It proves that humans instinctively see non-existent patterns in random events. (See also 'confirmation bias'.)
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
