  • I've just won another £25 for Nov 2015, £25 in Oct and £25 in July! Since last January (2014) I have won 7 x £25 and 1 x £100, so that's £275 in total. That doesn't sound a lot, but it's been pretty regular considering there's only 12 draws a year! I have £9,000 in savings, which I intend to keep on investing between £500 and £1,500 every month or two! I know some people harp on about no interest etc, but I seem to win much more with Bonds than I do with the lottery, and at least my bonds are ALWAYS there unlike the lottery!

I hope you've filled the interest current accounts which gives 3-5% interest/year where you'd earn around £275/year and money would be safe as long as you hold less than £75k with those banks
  • 1 x £25 on £30250.

Added another £10K so total now £40275.

Hope Santa helps out with bigger prizes next month.

I've had premium bonds for years and kept a record of prizes. It's exactly as you'd expect - random. I used to win more in the early days - but that's because the "interest rate" (i.e. prize money as a percentage of bonds held) was much higher in the good old days.

Over the long run prizes work out roughly as the amount you'd expect given the "interest rate", however old your bonds.
