I check bond winnings for several people and have noticed a trend. Can anyone else confirm this.

If your winnings are below average take out your money and then re-invest in new bonds. As if by magic you start to win again!!!!

All three cases have 30,000 invested.

    1) RS re-invested 33 months ago, had 30 wins in 22 months but only 2 in last 11 months.
    2) JL re-invested 26 months ago, has had 54 wins since then, missing out twice in last 3 months.
    3) ES re-invested 14 months ago, has had 20 wins with very few gaps to date.

This looks to me like manipulation of the odds, what do others think?
All you are seeing is standard statistical variance based on a very small sample. Buying new numbers will exclude you from a month's prize draw every time you do it so you are reducing not increasing your odds of winning; plus number of wins is a very different statistic to amount won, I mean, which would you prefer: 1 £25 win every month or 1 £100 win every three months?

    SP
Come on people, it's not difficult: lose means to be unable to find, loose means not being fixed in place. So if you have a hole in your pocket you might lose your loose change.

  • 2 x £25 for me on £40k so can't complain.
  • I am still hoping your "big win"prediction comes true! :rotfl:

Nothing for me again in Jan on £30,000 but OH has 2 x £25 on £25000.

I must be the unlucklies person with PBs, checked my winning last year in a calculater and it said 96% of people did better than me. I have the full 40K, and most months i win nothing, and in some months I win £25. Oct, Nov, Dec nothing Jan £25 and so far Feb Nothing. I guess this year is carrying on witht he same pattern as last. I am thinking of withdrawing the money to be honest.

What do I think? I think you are talking nonsense. I really don't know where to start but how about a sample of three not being statistically significant?

But don't let me stop you, take it up with NS&I if you think you have a case.
