Only thing I can say is perhaps by having many smaller blocks over all the numbers possibly available, statistically it may match up more to random numbers better.
No, the draw is random, so it will make no difference to the chances of you winning if the numbers are in a long sequence or spread randomly over the whole set.
Can't say this is the case. Perhaps it's one question that Martin can ask his number cruncher expert.
I can say it isn't the case despite being a number cruncher practitioner rather than expert.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

I didn't realise that they take days to draw the winners. I just cashed in some of mine last night... seems I might have missed out on an opportunity to win this month.

They don't - it just takes a few days for the prizes to be added to accounts. Your bonds would have been in this months draw.

    1 had 3 x £25 prizes (on holding of 21k) - happy with that.

NSI Website and app only showing the December draw, how did you get your January prize results?

If you have an account you can log in and check your prize draw history. I looked on Friday and we had 2x£25 prizes. I looked today and its 5x£25!! :)

    Last month I looked and it was 1x£25 - and it stayed at 1 x £25 :(

As the previous poster said, it does not give the complete picture until all the accounts are updated which is when you can check it on the NSI Website.

Thanks. Logged in and no prizes showing for January - used dates 01/12/2014 to 04/01/2015 and only my £25 December prize is showing. Am I doing it wrong? In fact the December one did not show last month this early. Am I looking in the wrong place?

No, sounds like you are doing it right. If nothing showing for Jan 2015 by now, its likely nothing will show. However, I think NSI say four working days from the draw for the final results.

We update the prize checker for each month’s draw on the third working day of the month.

Third working day this month is Tuesday, so they have way to go.

I had 4 x £25 on Friday, and another 4 showing today. Bumper month after getting nowt in December. My return over the last 12 months is now just over 1.5% which I am happy with in the current climate as PBs are only a small part of my entire portfolio.
