Woohoo! I got 1 x £25 this month on a £3k holding. I've decided to pull all my money out though. I never win anything big and most months I get jack all.

Can I just ask, whilst tidying my bedroom the other day, I came upon a £25 bond winning cheque from November 2012 which I never cashed in. Is there any way they would sent me a new cheque out or is it too far gone? I've tried looking on their website but found no information. I was thinking of calling them but was wondering if any of you guys might have known.

I think cheques lapse after 6 months, some government cheques after 3 months. Exactly the same thing happened to me a couple of years ago. Just write them a letter explaining, they will ask for the cheque and then send you a new one.

I now have my prizes paid into my account, but back in the days when I used to receive the warrant in the post from NS&I it used to say something along the lines of 'to be cashed within 3 months of the date of issue'.

With the old one that you found contact them, they will ask you to send it in and reissue you with a new one.

  • I used to get cheques and for some reason loads of them got lost in the post so I got a pleasant surprise when I contacted them to change some details - there were about 8 wins I didn't know about!

Now it's all online and a little less exciting.

    Wins since January: £125....

    Jan - April - £25 win on £10,000 investment
Topped up to £30,000 investment in April and won £75 in the next draw.
Then a further £25 the following month.

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton

Among the various prize winner areas, there's 'Inner London', 'Outer London', and 'London'. Does anyone know how 'London' on its own works? (This bit on areas http://www.nsandi.com/savings-premium-bonds-high-value-winners#prize_winner doesn't help.)
  • Well NS&I are on the ball this month as July's small prizes are showing on the main checker on-line already! I didn't even need to log in to my account to check.

    2 x £25 for me.
