Bought £15K in September 2012. After the 2 months waiting time, had £25.00 prize every month for 7 months - since then it's been 9 months of nothing since last summer. Very strange.fitzroy0

In order for the average payout to amount (!) to 1.3% AER, lots of people have to go without wins for lots of months. It is a lottery, not a savings account. Still worth a punt for many people in those days of dire interest in savings accounts.0 -

I'm classifying my premium bond allocation as a proxy for gilts. Slightly lower rate of interest but same level of security and no risk of capital loss, though not avoiding inflation risk of course.0 -

I'm pleased to see that 'Magnolia' managed a £100 win this month.
At least we now know that prizes of a value over £25 actually exist. I was beginning to wonder.
