Premium Bond Winner ?

Hi Guys,
Having read a few earlier posts I get the feeling im probably the most unlucky PB holder.
I have 28k in PB currently with an average of 24k since the beginning of the year and so far i've only won £25 in April in 2013.
I'm thinking of buying another 2k by end of Aug and capping it with the hope of ANY win.
BTW I've got auto reinvest switched on - does that become invalid when you hit 30k or do we need to cancel that option to get paid directly into the bank account in case of a win ?0 -
Once you hit £30k no other bonds can be added and will be paid to you.

Normally, I'm informed of a win during the first two or three days of a month, and money arrives in my account around the 8th.0 -

I had my first win this month - £25.0

£25 for me this month.
Between us, my husband or I have won £25 on average every other month since January 2012. He had until very recently £4200 and I had £2500.
I have £10k to put somewhere for a year so I have bought us another £5k each this month.

I'm buying up bonds this month ready for the October draw
I am going to go for max holding, wondering if i should buy in smaller blocks or not?
I've got 2 x £100 blocks so far, was thinking of buying 2 x 5k blocks and then a 19800 block before Friday.0 -
Whether to go for small or large blocks?
I sold all of my small blocks of bonds as the returns were negligible and instead invested in 3 x £10,000 blocks.
Results so far this year:
Block 1 = 5 x £25 (last year 3 x £25)
Block 2 = 3 x £25 (last year 6 x £25)
Block 3 = 4 x £25 (last year 3 x £25)
As savings accounts are continuing to pay such meagre interest rates, I may as well stay with these bonds for now as the returns are comparable to any instant access account out there. Should interest rates increase though, I’ll have to have a rethink.Trying to learn something new every day.0 -
