But then 99% of the big prizes should go the 99% holding the £10k or above :-) The big winners list often has people with less than £10k holdings.

I'm counting my blessings and my good luck. For the first time ever I won more than £50 last month ... I had a £500 prize in December and I've just checked to find I've won another £500 in the January draw. How lucky is that! Next month the £1m :j

Oh, and this is with a base investment of £10,000

A couple of £100 prizes back in, I think, the early 1980s or so, when my holding must have been.... £50 or so?

Looks like £25 for us this month - which is lovely, for more than just the obvious reasons. My dad - who was a massive fan of Premium Bonds - died in early Jan 2007. My mum split his holding between my brother and me, and we didn't really think any more about it till the end of the next month - when my brother won £50 and so did I. They haven't been great money spinners, however there's been enough along the way to hold on to them, yet every January since the, I've had a small win - and I go through the same routine every time - when you find out, you have to give a small cheer and say 'Thanks, dad!'. It does feel as if he's pulling a few strings and always raises a smile.

There's still hope for this months draw yet. Last month it didn't show i had won until after the front page had been updated to check Decembers numbers.
